What a nonsense! I'm not a Nazi (went onto the streets against fascism
last weekend and there were thousands of poeple!), I'm third generation
after World War II and I'm sick of being called a Nazi or something. I am
also not 'anti' America, they just tend to take themselves too important.
I just have an opinion about the USA taking action in the matters of the
world, and this is certainly not based on old war or Hitler issues. A lot of
people have the same opinion btw.

They should have arrested him and take him to court, for their allies and
everyone to participate, as he has killed (or is said to have killed) many
people in other countries, too, nothing more and nothing less!

exactly.germany is pretty well infected with a neurosis of anti-americanism..it all goes back to WW2.by the very same token its the reason why when galata goes on and on about 9/11 and Israeli conspiracys I know.... it just happens.. to be a product of his countrys muslim culture/history and she/like his culture colors her views in an anti-american slant and as such can be discarded.
Nah, her views aren't anti-American - decent Americans aren't war-mongering bigots. Her views are legitimately held by many people of many different nationalities. You've simply stooped to racism to try to discredit her unease at the world policeman role the US has assumed in the absence of any genuine argument. You've decided to make her nationality an issue - as if a person from Germany or anywhere else in the world that doesn't sell freedom fries couldn't hold these views without being anti-American. Rather that address her unease that American foreign policy has assumed for itself a world policeman role (which quite often means an avoidance of international law), you've gone and painted a toothbrush moustache on her avatar and embarrassed yourself in the process.

I've seen some more footage of the celebration's on the street's in the US after Bin Laden was killed, Absolutely pathetic and it was like a crowd celebrating a sporting victory. How can any nation justify this? With the world on a knife edge as it already is how is this supposed to help things? I find it an absolute disgrace and something that is inexcusable. Yes, we should be happy that a dangerous man has been stopped but the way thing's have been done and the reaction is nothing less than scandalous.

Aren't we (or specifically the USA I should say) supposed to be better than them?

It reads that Bin Laden was being cought first, not being armed,
and then executed in front of his 12 year old daughter. Nice!

Everyone is innocent unless proven otherwise, and sure enough, these chaps were released without charge.

As for the downright offensive comments to our German friend, Pani, I am sickened. I like Germany, and Germans, and any that I have spoken to are deeply embarrassed at what went on 70 years (already two or three generations) ago. They just want to move on.

On a side-note, I had two customers last night who were born in the former East Germany. Two very pleasant people, who knew more about malt whisky than me. They, too, were embarrassed at Nazis, and the War. Sadly, one of my more brain-dead regulars decided to make an arse of himself towards them. So much so, that I felt the need to not only apologise to them, but to do it in German!

People should not be persecuted for the actions of their ancestors.

Anyway, to get back on track: Get the flags out, Osama's Bin Bagged! :D

Fact's are not stupid, take this one for example, give all the unemployed British people the jobs the immigrants have and what do you get? And I don't know where you get your fact's from either but I've seen you are the type that believe everything you say to be fact too, and that's a fact.

Yes, Ive seen they let these people go, far enough if they are innocent but we've seen so much injustice and it could just be for lack of evidence, who knows? You do probably of course!

all this has to be the most silly round of posts I've seen in any political type thread. the hangwringing over a terrorist commander. your inner moral compass is all messed up. its you.not america.

we bagged the head of one of the most Preeminent terrorist organizations in modern history. but from what I can tell from the posts, some are ....hilariously..... irked americans dared celebrate his come uppance and that laugh riot notion the raid wasnt apparently politically correct. well, thats too bad. our 3000 plus dead didnt get a chance to be taken prisoner either.you live in a PC dream world.get your moral compass rewired.

your're really confused.but mostly,just so silly!

Body hastily disposed of at sea

Story changes overnight

No pictures being released of the dead body

Oh yes, I'm sure that he's dead.

It looks like the bogeyman is back in the hands of the CIA - if he ever left them that is.

By definition, your comments were racist. You decided Pani's view was unacceptable simply because of her nationality. If I were you, I'd slowly back out of the thread now. First rule of holes: stop digging.
