Re: Erasure : The Game
Bet Lynch has just described Andy as looking like a cross between Martin Clunes and Simon Weston. What a bitch.

I thought Jocelyn Brown was average. Got better as it went on. Did better with the acting than singing. I didn't think she had any legs at first.

I don't know any of the names but
1. Blonde woman - I thought did really well. I thought she had the most promise of the 3.
2. Black woman - why was she sitting down? Which language was she singing in?
3. Albino man - he was ok. As was said, vibrato free.
4. Curly man - I liked his confidence.Which language was he singing in?

I think Andy'll make the final three with Geordie Joe and Claire from Steps. To be honest him and Midge Ure were the biggest pop stars on there.

Andy was second best for me tonight.
He does look like a waxwork though!

Not bad for a group who don't play the media game.Undertaker wrote:Erasure really should get a single out now. Six million viewers last night.

I thought you lot were calling this a desperate and sad thing? Now apparently it's great promotion. Weird. I suppose you have to guard against the small possibility that the new Erasure single might get into the top 40. So I understand. Predictable.Patrick Bateman wrote:Not bad for a group who don't play the media game.Undertaker wrote:Erasure really should get a single out now. Six million viewers last night.
But don't worry, the album won't do very well, so you can all be happy and have fun slagging them off again, oh so predictable again I suppose

Erm, the two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.JSDOUVRES wrote:I thought you lot were calling this a desperate and sad thing? Now apparently it's great promotion. Weird.

Wow. Only you could post something as insane as this.JSDOUVRES wrote:I thought you lot were calling this a desperate and sad thing? Now apparently it's great promotion. Weird. 1. I think it's desperate that singers have to do reality television like this. Andy is doing reality t.v with Cheryl Baker ffs. However, it is still excellent promotion. It's prime time t.v on a Sunday night. I's 6 million viewers.
2. I do think the next Erasure single will go top 40. The euphoria of the first new song for 4 years off a new album will get them a decent hit imo. What's your point exactly? I think it will be great if they achieve it. If they don't, i'm sure we will all still sleep soundly. Although their last single release last Christmas ;- A Little Respect (hedux mix) didn't get anywhere near the top 200. So they need to get the strategy right. Which was my original point. They have a perfect opportunity right now.
3. I also think the album will do ok. We are hearing the right vibes. A lot of time has gone into it and it has a fresh, modern producer. Why wouldn't it do well? Again, what point are you trying to make? Or are you simply looking for another argument? Get a grip. It's becoming embarrassing.
I wonder what random rant is going to come next?
You are also a stereotypical Erasure fan. Won't accept any criticism and completely lose it if anyone posts anything negative. You would make a good Harry Enfield character. Mister Stereotypical.
