I can still remember hearing "I Feel Love" for the first time on Scout Camp. RIP

Donna Summer. R.I.P
Not sure if this is relevant on here but just heard the sad news that Donna Summer has passed away from Cancer. "I Feel Love" is quite simply one of THE greatest dance tracks ever. Whenever I listen to the 12" dub of "So Hard" it reminds me of "I Feel Love". A very underrated artist. She will be sadly missed.
There is beauty in ugliness and ugliness in beauty.

I just realized we'll get another price-hiked greatest hits album like they did for Whitney Houston.. :@

I wish there was a campaign to download 'I feel love' or something, it would be wonderful to see that classic at #1

Very sad. Was a fan from a very young age, RIP.
Incidentally, PSB were briefly mentioned in her New York Times obituary: "Her own recordings have been sampled by, among others, Beyoncé, the Pet Shop Boys, Justice and Nas." I think the writer Jon Pareles is a longtime PSB fan, and I like seeing them mentioned..anywhere. But i'm not sure what samples he's referring to. That da-da-da-ta-da part of New York city boy?

This is really sad. She's younger than my parents. Also, it's really kind of sad she was never inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. I'm willing to bet next year she'll be nominated again and probably will make it but it's sad they couldn't recognizer her earlier.
Re: R.I.P. Donna Summer :(
If you compare the extended Morales mix of New York city boy the orchestral and/or strings arrangement is almost identical to parts of the MacArthur Park suite. I was actually shocked the first time I heard that version of MacArthur Park, amazed New York city boy was so blatant. I have got a feeling it may have been the same arranger on both tracksDeschanel wrote: "Her own recordings have been sampled by, among others, Beyoncé, the Pet Shop Boys, Justice and Nas." Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

Been playing this song a lot lately.
Reminds me of Fleetwood Mac for some reason - same LA/West Coast sound? Possibly ...
She was more than just a 'disco queen' - a great raw quality to the vocal on this track.
