Tabloid TV. Schofield is far too much of a lightweight to be playing that game. He should stick to molesting puppets and Sarah Greene.

I've no doubt that there is a paedophile ring at the very heart of the British establishment. There is no sane reason for why Jimmy Savile's carry-on was effectively hushed up. Too many people seemed to be aware of it, yet nothing was done. On TV recently, there was some former patient in a hospital alleging that Savile molested another patient many years ago - right in front of her. She was accusing him of all sorts, yet had no plausible excuse for why SHE didn't do something about it. "Oh, I was on the flat of my back, I couldn't." Sinister. Now, she's throwing all sorts of accusations around like the injured innocent. I thought she has a lot to feel guilty about.

So, that's one reason why he got away with things for so long: deference. But that deference does not apply to members of the the establishment or people in power. A silly old bat might be too deferential to celebrities to spill the beans - and is now going all Daily Mail to purge her guilt and coin it in the process - but why would the brass at the BBC ignore it? Savile was very friendly with Margaret Thatcher. He was insidious in his self-promotion. Who else did he know? Did they share the same predilections?

My take is that they are covering up for somebody REALLY significant. A member of the government? A member of the royal family? I don't know - but there's a touch of Belgium about all of this. And let's be honest, the Tories were so contemptuous of the general public that it's no leap to imagine what some extremists with dubious preferences among them might have thought of waifs from the wrong side of the tracks in state homes. The Catholic Church in Ireland was the same. Abuse the wretches because they deserve it. Young offenders have few champions in society.

Cameron really blundered when he referred to a "witch-hunt, especially of gay people". Who could he possibly be referring to?

And now, apparently, the "top Tory" rumoured to be at the centre of it all is a victim of mistaken identity.

Not him, Guv.

I don't know what to make of any of this. I just hope there are no 12-foot lizards involved.

I find that picture of Savile, Sutcliffe and Bruno quite disturbing. It always gives mew the creeps. You can see Frank Bruno is thinking ''wtf am i doing here?''

The rumours we were talking about a few months ago seemed so far fetched, they were comical. Even though it is the Daily Fail, it makes you wonder what the story is. nobody sane befriends a monster like Sutcliffe.

Jesus, i'll be looking out for 12 foot lizards next.
