I've been listening to The Durutti Column this month, this is one of his more gentle songs, absolutely beautiful.
Belle and Sebastian are also pretty cool, released a second B-sides compilation in August, this was on a single in 2003.
The new Arctic Monkeys album is really good, Knee Socks and Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High are my favourites at the moment. But I'm hoping the next LP from these guys will be amazing like this song

In a completely different vein I was recently reminded of an "old", overlooked, perfect song from the band that the masterminds/main songwriters of Swedish bands The Cardigans (of Lovefool fame) and Kent (of no overseas fame) briefly created in 1998. It is called Chock (Shock in English), it is sung in Swedish, and it contains the lyric "i någon sång nån gång ska jag berätta allt" that I could probably translate for you but won't (I can't). Of course it's not on on Youtube or any other easy-to-listen-and-link-to place. Maybe this is meant to be.
