KYLIE – THE ABBEY ROAD SESSIONS

Kylie Minogue releases her brand new album “The Abbey Road Sessions” on Parlophone Records on October 29.

The album features sixteen tracks, all radically reworked, spanning Kylie’s incredible 25 year career. The album was recorded in London’s legendary Abbey Road Studios with Kylie’s band and a full orchestra.

Nick Cave re-recorded his vocal on the famous duet, “Where The Wild Roses Grow”, especially for the album.

Other highlights of the album include a wonderfully poignant “Better The Devil You Know”, the ever-amazing “Confide In Me”, a sultry “On A Night Like This”, a joyous “All The Lovers”, the beautiful “Finer Feelings” and a version of “The Locomotion” which swaggers with true 1950’s panache.

Over all 16 tracks one thing becomes very clear – stripped of her high end pop production, the emotional resonance of many of Kylie’s songs has never been clearer, nor has her voice ever sounded better.

Kylie will perform most tracks from the album with the BBC Symphony Orchestra this Saturday September 8th at London’s Hyde Park, headlining Proms In the Park.

Ok, I'm a Kylie fan as well, but I think this album cover is hideous. The picture, the pose, the mouth, the big hair, the greek-y font that doesn't go at all with the style of the picture. It's basically textbook pop/rock singer taking on the classics album artwork.
I hope the music is good, what I saw from her gig at the Proms was pretty promising.
I don't see what Adele has to do with it though.

Kylie makes a total pratt of herself on The Voice, she's clearly acting fake and knows that if she was ever asked to sing on that stage she'd be f**ked

I've never felt that show, and Kylie's presence is making it no different at all and I'm a big fan of hers. I think this is not doing her any favors except at some point letting people oblivious to her constant music releasing that she is still recording. It might fend off some of her previous occasional fans and in the end it might make no change in her sales whatsoever.
