Favourite Font...

#1 Post by tottenhammattspurs »

Just wondering really. With all the various fonts we've had over the releases, doe anybody have a favourite?

Singlewise for me is Suburbia, black, bold and sharp, almost like a tabloid headline.

Albumwise, Behavoiur. Yes, all because of the full-stop!
is is and isnt isnt

The Electric font (that 45° one).

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

I saw this and thought exactly the same - also the street lights in Kendrick Lamar's HT show. Not sure I'd want to be sat on top of them though.

My favourite typeface that Farrow and the PSBs have used is on "Please" and "Love comes quickly"; in my eyes, elegant, modern, crisp - and quintessentially European.

Got to be the Introspective / Left to my own devices black box with title / pet shop boys.

Also partial to the gradually bolder PSB from the performance / where the streets… era.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|

I do have a very soft spot for the blocky Nightlife lettering, but I'm also a big fan of the custom Farrow-designed font used in the packaging for Somewhere. I've made custom pins using both of those.

Ha ha, YES!! It's uncanny that this topic should appear today. I was distracted throughout the whole game yesterday by the field-level graphics in the corners. I nearly didn't say anything cos I thought y'all might look at me funny but it turns out I'm among my people.

    Greetings,

I like the bold font as appears on Introspective and Left To My Own Devices.

It looks good, especially contrasted against the non-bold variant.

    Retro. :)

That’s uncanny, as both of those are my picks too!
