Interesting and encouraging post about the film from today on "The New Yorker" (with some truths about the production being said for the first time on public ):
I just saw the English dubbed version of the film. I must say that the adaptation work was incredible! A huuuge job. All the dialogs were reworked, many times to make the words fit the vocal movements of the characters, and that means that this involved a lot of script changes, some times completely different dialogs were re-written, jokes removed, new jokes added...it´s a very different movie compared with the original, but also great. I hope it´ll have a good reaction from the public in the UK! Time will tell...
Some news about the film (after winning of the 'Goya' award in Spain as best animated movie of 2013 last month ) are that it´ll have a commercial release on the cinemas on the EEUU and UK in August 2014. Apparently the title will be 'Foosball' in UK and 'Underdogs' in USA...
The bad news are that this week illegal copies leaked already on the net (full HD hi quality copies...it has to happen sooner or later as the original premiere here in Argentina was on July 2013...) but with audio just in Spanish...so I hope the English speaking audiences will remain faithful to the big screen!
English trailers are still waiting to be released...
