I only know him from Harry Potter, but I'm sure of the impact that he left.

He was devastatingly brilliant as DeValera in the 1996 movie Michael Collins. A brave part for a (mostly) English actor to take on, but then he was very proud of his Irish roots.

I loved him in every movie I've seen him in, including Galaxy Questi, Love Actually and Sense And Sensibility (the only period movie I can sit through).
