Hate to say this, but Justice have taken the place of PSB as my electronic heroes. Here's a snippet of one of their new songs, wish PSB still did epic high and mighty songs like this. Super was anything but, and miles away from this unfortunately.

Justice annoy the shit out of me, but I agree with the sentiment. I love PSB mostly out of nostalgia, but musicianly I prefer a lot of younger, fresher, artists. I don't really listen to PSB much anymore, at least as a percentage of my total listening.

Younger, fresher artists? I have to say (and this is probably the old fogie in me) there really is nothing stands out from today's artists. I listen to 6 Music, Later with Jools Holland and last week the Mercury Awards and all I hear is derivitive, samey, bland, autotuned garbage from 'new' bands. PSB meanwhile still have the ability to surprise 35 years into their career. The music scence needs another shakeup like punk provided to get away from the bland, X Factor derived rubbish and autotuned pap (with an obligatory rap) that constitutes so much of the output of Radio 1, supposedly at the cutting edge of music. Rant over

On the radio, sure, that stuff is atrocious, but in the indie/electronica world the barriers to entry are low and there are acres of good music out there. Two of my current favorites in the pop space are Small Black and Wild Nothing.

I'm really into Teleman. I felt as if they were overtaking PSB in my esteem, which is weird. The way I think of it is PSB is my wife, Teleman is my mistress!
