When the game is open in pool (preferably 8 ball), to determined what ball colour (solid, stripes on normal tables) to you like to go after and why?

Im bored so this topic comes to mind because i love to play pool.

I love pool, but if i don't play for a while my skills suffer. But when I 1st moved to SF and knew only a few friends, i found pool is always a great way to meet new people.. Now when i go out i find i have lots of friends so play less pool..:)

But it's fun to watch.

I learned to play by NY rules, which are stricter than here in laid-back CA. Which has led to minor misunderstandings at first! In CA they think some of the tough rules in NY are just "mean", lol..
