Marco Fu with a superb comeback but Luca blew that. Far too flash with his shots. You have to play solid match play snooker over 19 frames.

So Trump falls at the first hurdle. I am a fan of the changes that Hearn made to snooker; it's definitely made competitions far more open than they were in the past. I also like the fact that all these players from a previous epoch like Ebdon and Dott are still grinding away on the circuit - the latter's final with Robertson was the most interminable match I think I've ever seen.

Trump is becoming a bit like a spoilt kid imo. Over confident as well. Theres no problem bigging yourself up but he chose the wrong time to do it. He never ackowledges an opponents good shot either. Hes a bit like 'The Big Me i Am'

Hearn has done a great job. Its definatly benefitted the older generation player. I go see the qualifiers a lot and even players like White, Bond, McManus and Swail are still very good players.

Eurosports coverage is also superb. The show nearly every tournament.

I'm hoping that Ding can keep playing the way he has been; I'd love for him to win it.

What a match Selby v Ding has been so far, what a shame it isn't the final (which would have been the same as last year of course).
Some unbelievable safety play and equally good pots. So close and as much as I like Selby I wouldn't mind Ding winning whatsoever.
Snooker at it's best.

It was a great game and experience won in the end. Not the most appealing final, even though its probably the two best players. It will probably be a little bit sterile. Wonder what bets John Higgins will be putting on.
