If you like the series and you are looking for a gem, give a try to "La Casa de Papel". At least try to watch the first chapter. You'll not regret it.

I know many people could think a Spanish series is not going to be something you are able to be interested on. Watching so many American and British series, you can think it's enough.

But I'm talking about a series which hasn't had any kind of publicity and now it's a REALLY succesful show in Argentina, Mexico, Brazil (and more South American countries), Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Italy, France and know English-speaker countries are starting to talk about it. It's on Netflix but you can find on the net with English subtitles if you try to do it. You have to put "La Casa de Papel" on twitter and you can see how many people love the show because of itself, not because a big promotion, so it's because of something. As many critics say, it's "the most addictive show in years".

A few weeks ago, we were the very first outlet to champion the superbly addictive series La Casa de Papel/Money Heist on Netflix and it appeared that plenty of people listened.
Much like Prison Break and 24 during their pomp, the heist show is that rare hidden gem - incredibly addictive and well written. Each episode seamlessly flows into the next one and if ever a show was designed to be binge-watched, it's Money Heist.
Ok, what's it about?

This being said, you know what they say about the best-laid plans of mice and men?
Like any other people in the world that have to work in such close proximity, alliances begin to forge as seeds of doubt and mistrust grow. In such a highly pressurised situation, can this band of thieves work together to pull off the world's biggest score?
The show is excellent at examining the growing cracks and frictions that develop between the group and you'll constantly be kept on your toes. What's even more impressive is that every character - whether they have a large role or a small one - is given their time to shine. Special praise goes to Itziar Ituño for her performance as the beleaguered hostage negotiator, Raquel Murillo.
The plot moves along at a breakneck speed and it's gorgeous to look at, one shoot-out scene is like something that you would see at the cinema. It also helps that unlike other foreign language shows on Netflix, the English dubbing is actually decent.


For anyone that hasn't seen the show yet, we're not going to spoil the ending of Season One but it's a doozy. In fact, people were screaming out for Season 2 to be released because they couldn't wait any longer. Well, we've got some good news on that front.

This series is a masterpiece!

This series gives a lot of big messages. First of all, Dali masks are not an ordinary choice. Dali is a genius painter who inherited life that is contrary to popular morality and common customs. He has never accepted the imperatives from the society and the right to wrong moral codes. The masks represent this irregularity.

Red overalls represent socialism. The wearers are socialist comrades and fighting. Mint and cops represent capitalism. In capitalism money sets everything. Even morals will set money. So when someone attacks the money, those people are declared bad. When attacked by money, capitalism is waging a war against the attackers with its armed and visual mechanisms.

The professor is symbolizing the scientific perspective and accounting. After all, scientific thinking and accountability overcome all kinds of problems. But love succumbs.

I have not seen such meaningful socialism for a long time. Moreover, Salvador Dali's tactic was used in the series. You think you are watching the events, but every time you have a deep meaning and message. Ciao Bella is the symbol of socialism.

Fabulous work. It's not just a movie or a script. It is a wonderful work as a philosophy. There is a great slap in the capitalist system. 10/10

One of the best I've seen!

This has been a real treat! An amazing series, great acting, direction and such a suspenseful story it's really one of the very best I've seen ever. I love heist movies and I just found this one in Netflix and I literally couldn't stop watching through the night. The characters are simply amazing! Don't miss this!

Congratulations to the actors, director, writer and anyone who made this season of episodes possible. Every episode had it's gripping and human slow moments, such a wonderful balance. Couldn't wait to see the next episode. Each one had surprises, no standard script, which is so enjoyable. The actors played so well, better than many of the better known Hollywood names. Hope the next season is coming up soon.

This movie is a MASTERPIECE. It has every characteristic of it: Good actors, great story, very funny, extremely emotional, you feel like jumping from joy, crying with them... Impossible to stop watching. Must watch !

This is addictive to the point that you don't understand how you've watched it all at once.

It's unpredictable, it's suspenseful, it's twisted, it's AMAZING!

Why it has so many mixed reviews here I really don't get it. Probably because of some inaccuracies with the plot.

I for one sometimes need a show that gives me those extreme emotions. This was one of them, I enjoyed it a lot.

I started watching this show because a lot of my friends told me to do it. I was curious about all the hype, so I gave it a try. From the first episode I just couldn't keep away from it. The plot is amazingly good. Of course it's not something that has never been done before, but I believe it has never been done with this kind of quality.

Acting is on point, characters are unique and you can really connect with them, feel pity for them, hate/love them.

Of course this is all subjective but I can't really understand how someone can give a 1/10 or 2/10 to these series. For me this is the best series I have ever seen. You should definitely give a try and see for yourself

Bella Ciao is being Number 1 in France, Austria and Number 2 in Germany. I don't know if you know the song but there are many version of it everywhere. It's because the success of La Casa de Papel.
