Really wish the Red Zone remix was on Spotify. It's brilliant.

Also my mother's birthday. She'll be thrilled to know she shares a birthday with a PSB song...Pertan wrote: Thu 24 Sep 2020, 9:06 am And today 30 years since the release!!!
15 years since I first posted on this tread.
Pet Shop Who?
You know, that group I've been a fan of for years and years
Never heard of it...
Them
I know you like New Heads on the Block
No. I never liked them. And it's Kids. That was someone else thirty years ago and we sorted that mistake out at the time and every few years since.
New Heads on the Kids sorry you know I forget things.
That's true
You'll have to forgive me
I forgive you.
Who are you anyway?

I was so upset this stalled at #4, I think it was deserving of #1
1 SHOW ME HEAVEN MARIA MCKEE
2 I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT YOU LONDONBEAT
3 BLUE VELVET BOBBY VINTON
look at all these dire one hit wonders which C**k Blocked our beloved PSB
(Londonbeat was not bad..though)

Lol that picture and resemblance is so funny that I couldn't help myself but laugh very loudly in the subway, making some people jump on their feet
As for So Hard; Yes, the expectations were high; I was spending that weekend at my cousin's home and some of his friends (who were metal bangers and whom I never thought would be loving PSB, let alone, liking them) excitedly waited for it and gave a 4 points out of 5. I guess that was a satisfactory score.

The same thing goes for me. But now in retrospect, I know that the times had changed by then and people was moving away from synthpop in droves even at that time (with a tinge of homophobia of course, they were shifting to grunge etc). Actually Number 4 and Very's Number One position (with two top ten hits) seems a miracle now (and also shows how dedicated fans they had even by then).Shopper wrote: Mon 28 Sep 2020, 4:20 pm I was so upset this stalled at #4, I think it was deserving of #1

The So Hard TOTP performance was 30 years ago today. Is the full version available online anywhere (uchoob only has half of it)?

Bobby Vinton certainly wasn't a one-hit wonder in the US.Shopper wrote: Mon 28 Sep 2020, 4:20 pm I was so upset this stalled at #4, I think it was deserving of #1

Fun fact: Real Gone Kid by Deacon Blue was written about Maria McKee.
