THE BIGGEST CHRISTMAS CHART BATTLE OF ALL TIME

#1 Post by Nickname »

The most famous Christmas song could be White Christmas from Bing Crosby who has the best selling song of all time. Not only Christmas songs but all kind of music song.

But apart from that, the Top 3 should include Last Christmas from Wham and All I Want for Christmas is you. The funny thing is that any of these songs didn't get the Number 1 in the UK char history.

But this year, there is a new movie called Last Christmas that makes this song popular again between young people and there is a plan to nake the song a Number 1 hit.

The problem is Mariah Carey has her own plans too and that's because All I Want for Christmas is You is 25 years old. So I think the battle for the Christmas Number 1 is going to be interesting:

By the way, talking about Christmas Number 1:

Well, she is Number 1 in USA. She did it 25 years later.

Well, it's Christmas again, it's the final time for this 2020 and it's funny to see this again on the UK's chart:

Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You is #2 and Wham! - Last Christmas is #3. Neither of them has been Number 1.

Maybe next week, that's going to change.

Another #2 song (and you know who were #1 :mrgreen:), Pogues - Fairtale of New York is now #8.

If Wham get to number one they become the duo with most UK number ones. They currently tie with PSb with 4 each.

Mariah Carey is Number 1. Good for her, 26 years latar.

Wham! is Number 2 again. The best selling record in UK, not being Number 1.

PSB = Wham! = 4 Number Ones

Now, she is Number 1 in USA too.

Hopefully the boys take it as a challenge...

To have the record for 33 years, is a pretty good achievement. I expect the new record will eventually be broken by someone less talented than both bands. Back in the 90s, I thought Robson and Jerome were gonna do it during their imperial Phase.

Anyway, the Number 1 is deserved. Last Christmas is one of the best Christmas songs ever written.
