Yup been wondering the same ... hoping it's this year as I'm already lined up to seeing them twice next year (Dreamworld and Unity) and could do with a bit of space between the gigs

Wonder if it'll be the first preview of the 'Dreamworld' greatest hits set and arrangements? Would be quite a "spoiler" so far in advance, so maybe they'll reuse the last tour's arrangements or do something unique?

I would think it will most likely be a warm up show shortly before the first date of the tour.

To me from Melbourne, Australia that just seems absolutely insane you're going to crowded concerts without needing to be double vaxxed. "No restrictions" wow. Seems a bit crass, let's look up the death numbers for UK.. 137 yesterday and..... 35,000 new cases for just 1 day1?!?!?!?!? that's essentially the whole population of the venue and then some.
Here in Australia, 500 cases is a big deal. thousands of new cases really...

Living under Dan Andrews here in Victoria, we've had an approach to the pandemic that's very different to the rest of Australia, let alone the rest of the world. In a way, it is good that you find the disparity confronting, because the sooner people adjust to the abandonment of the pre-vaccination "COVID Zero" mentality, the sooner society will be ready to move towards what you're seeing discussed here in this topic... and the sooner that Pet Shop Boys could viably consider bringing their Dreamworld tour here!



It bodes well that these concerts are permitted in the UK, as it's a step back towards the previous paradigm of people being responsible for their own individual health choices, rather than the paradigm we still suffer under here that sees the government making these decisions on behalf of the population under the guise of a "State of Emergency".

If the governments of the world can stick to a hands-off approach that respects people's autonomy moving forward, there'll be no need for further rescheduling. People will be able to make their own decisions, and weigh up their own risks and benefits, rather than have that done for them. Fingers crossed.

Pretty good I think, but it could be that vaccination is going to be mandatory to go to conserts.
