Good god, surely that cover is a placeholder? Utter bobbins... Farrow’s work experience lad strikes again
Who is this aimed at? Too comprehensive for the casual/non-fan. Absolutely nothing to hook in the hardcore fan/nutter.
Hmmm.
Bound to be marketed with yet another remix of West End Girls, no doubt...

Only a single in Germany iirc. Yesterday was a multi national release. But this is the laziest release from them ever. If true the DVD tracklist must of been compiled by Chris who, by his own admission, doesn’t have the best rememberamce of their releases. What a letdown. Perhaps we’ve been spoilt in the past with their attention to detail and effortsjasonjohn wrote: Thu 30 Mar 2023, 6:16 amHmm, wasn't Beautiful People a single? I'd prefer that over Yesterday and the over representation of Very, atleast.lucienchardon wrote: Thu 30 Mar 2023, 4:05 am From the audio tracklisting it looks like Very is the winner and Release and Yes the losers.
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

Omitting Thursday, 20 Something and Monkey Business on the DVDs is really strange. They are proper videos

Yes, doesn’t understand who this is aimed at ! Hope at least for them that they got a big advance for this from Warner that would at least make some kind of sense !

It is what it is. As others have commented, it’s not aimed at us diehard fans. I like the implied “Hits” after the word “Smash”.

Why do you all complain so much? Isn’t it time you pulled your heads out of your arses? I love psb and anything they do is appreciated and received with gratitude. I’ve never experienced a forum with so much negativity as here. Why can’t you all be happier? I like the cover for f*** sake! Maybe that should be the next album title or the name of this forum? Please feel free to slag me off if it makes you feel better. PET SHOP BOYS FOREVER

It’s a five disc greatest hits package. It’s what I’d expect. The inclusion of the dvd is a bonus. Nice to have everything (almost, rip How can you expect to be taken seriously?) in one place. Don’t like it? Don’t buy it! Stop moaning that a band going to nigh on 40 years is still in a position to release something like this.

Wonder if there will be a NEW commentary on the DVD - that would be worth buying

I can see how a 3 CD edition of this at a cheap price would appeal to many casual fans. It's likely the first PSB album I won't buy, as I have all these single versions, plus all the videos (recent ones I download from iTunes, and hardly ever watch them to be honest).
Also, £42.99 for this is very steep. I'd imagine the only reason some on here might be incentivised to buy is the Vocal radio edit, which hasn't been commercially available before (I tracked down the CD promo for it).

Vocal (Radio Edit) has been available on CD ever since it’s been released. It was part of the CD accompanying the SPEX music magazine in Germany when the single was released.TwizzleUK wrote: Thu 30 Mar 2023, 7:53 am I can see how a 3 CD edition of this at a cheap price would appeal to many casual fans.
