Quite surprised they didn't tweet about it. Perhaps they really did fall out.

I'm not the biggest Elton fan - I much prefer his early stuff and the 1997 Candle in the Wind is possibly the worst single ever. However, that was a fantastic set.

I saw Dreamworld in Brighton last night. Here’s my mini review (contains SPOILERS for anyone who hasn’t seen or read about the show yet).

It was hugely enjoyable. I think that if this was my first ever Pet Shop Boys’ concert I’d have been chuffed to bits. However, I came away feeling just ever so slightly disappointed. Maybe it was where I was (in the standing area, about halfway back on the left), or maybe it was the heat (it was very hot last night in the Brighton Centre), or maybe it was expectations from what I’ve read about the Leeds gig, but for me it felt just a little flat in one or two places. Hopefully someone else on here who was there will reply and say that we must have been at different events because they didn’t think that at all.

There was a really annoying and rude bloke stood behind me who laughed like a hyena every time Neil spoke or made a gesture.

I realise that it’s a greatest hits set and by those criteria there’s more material than can be crammed into the time available, but I’m not a big fan of having half a song that segues into half of another song. Domino Dancing barely had time to get going before it morphed into Monkey Business (which sounded great). So Hard grated when the second verse was missed out.

The sound and the visuals were great. As well as sounding fantastic, I think that having the live drumming really adds a lot of interest and movement visually. I think it’s interesting that there's plenty of bangin’ but there are no lasers this time around. The lasers at their previous shows have been incredible.

Neil is a much more expressive live performer nowadays. Almost every phrase was punctuated with a facial expression or hand gesture. I thought they both looked great. They must have some epic cooling or air-conditioning on stage because I didn’t see any sweat on Neil when looking at the massive close up image at the side of the main stage, in spite of him wearing a ribbed jumper and coat. Or a shirt, tie and suit for the encore.

I think that Paninaro was my favourite song of the evening and I particularly enjoyed the creative visualisations centred around Chris’s iconic Issey Miyake sunglasses and yellow jacket. For me, much as I love it to bits, Being Boring suffered for being played straight after West End Girls. It sounded like the bass had been turned off.

I’m really glad I got to see Dreamworld, but for my money the 2016 Royal Opera House concert was the best of the modern era (better than the 2018 reprise of that show) and Performance in 1991 was the best PSB concert of all time.

I think we were at different events because it was the best concert I've ever been! Mind you, I was front row so everyone around me were screaming the lyrics, dancing, jumping and all that fun stuff. We also got water a couple of times during the gig so that was nice too. I'm from South America so I had high expectations for this show, especially since it was in the UK. I'm used to people half-singing lyrics because English isn't our first language but in Brighton I felt so empowered and... I don't know, understood in some kind of way. In fact, when Neil noticed my sign everyone around me touched my shoulders and hyped me up and oh boy was I thrilled! Now I can't wait to see the show once again in Argentina and Chile.

I agree, we all must have been at a different show, because I thought it was fantastic. Then again, we had an incredible spot.

My friend and I were the last to exit the building. As we were on our way to our “home”, we ran into Afrika Green, then Simon Tellier with Claire Uchima. Then around another corner was Pete Gledall!!!

I was a bit stunned, it was completely unexpected. I didn’t stop & talk to then or anything like that as I didn’t want to bug them, though I thanked them all for the great show or something along those lines.
