For us Dutch readers: It's not in the list of Dutch distributors, I just heard from my local cinema (I work there). So it probably won't play here.

Hm, yes I wonder about that too, well not about those two countries but others. Would've been great to go to the local cinema, watch a PSB movie and dance with other local petheads.... I've never known any other PSB fan where I live.... no wait, there's a local doctor who came out as a sort of pethead to me last year or so.

Will it just be the concert or some extra material as well... like rehearsal, before and after the show, a break in the middle where we see Neil and Chris walking with pointy hats and feathered jackets over the Oresund bridge...

What I was thinking about: isn't it a little strange to screen the concert on New Year's Eve, 31th December?

That evening a lot of the people will be sitting at home, enjoying a nice meal with friends and family and go out to celebrate the new year, but going to the cinema??

Maybe it depends from country to country, don't know but I think that screening the concert on 31th December is commercial wise not that clever. Any thoughts?

Looking at the trailer, it feels like it's just the same thing I've been seeing for 2 years from audience uploads.

Will it be coming to theatres?
OP mentions Taylor Swift is innovating this, but before that in recent times Depeche Mode did a live concert in theatres. Anyway, actually seeing it in the movies would be incredible, but I'm not convinced it will actually be available.
ABBA said they were going to screen their movie in theatres worldwide but then excluded the US and Australia. I can see PSB doing the same, seeing as how they so poorly neglect certain countries.
I'm waiting until they announce what theatres it will actually be screened at.

Anyway, obviously overall I'm glad they've decided to film the tour professionally and have it released in some form.

Also, hoping for a Blu-ray release with special features. They could and should include at least 5 special features. Whether it's studio versions of the tracks, interviews, behind the scenes, a retrospect, sketch images, audio commentary, etc. Really owe it to us to include something more than what thousands have already seen. Who knows if they recorded a little vlog, one can hope.

Running time 1hr 54mins. Does that correspond with the full length of these shows? ie any hope for other, non-live concert parts to the film - ie interviews etc.

I asked about that in the questions to Annually, so hopefully they deign to answer it.

As for the cinema screening, there's one in the next suburb along, so I'm delighted. I'm too lazy for the rigmarole and travel associated with live gigs nowadays, so sitting on my can in a cinema to watch this on the big screen with good quality sound seems perfect.
