Not keen on the b sides. The lead single sounds more like a Ford standard track than a psb one.

I may change my mind later, it's all new.

Great stuff. I've been out and, about today and battery on the devices I'm left with is quite low, but I had one listen from my phone speaker and one through headphones. It's a Dolby Atmos mix that I was, able to stream on Amazon Music. I hope the whole album is mixed in Atmos. Look out for a listening party if so!!

This is an impeccable overall package - the artwork is magnificent, and the inclusion of two 'proper' b-sides is great.

That said, and this is pure personal taste of course, Loneliness itself is a bit grating to my ears - something about the chorus is borderline unpleasant to listen to. Not great, but also not terrible by any means.

When I clicked on the release on Spotify, and put the phone in my pocket as I was walking, for some reason it played 'Through You' first and I assumed this was the lead single! And I LOVED it, thinking 'wow, how bold and confident - what a statement as a lead single'. Loneliness was a disappointment after that, particularly the radio edit.

I wish they still had that imperial swagger where they'd think nothing of releasing singles like Left to my own devices or It's a Sin (both well over 4 minutes) without ripping them to shreds with radio edits.

Loneliness is nice. Caught myself singing "searching for the face of Jesus" to some of the bits :) Ford's work with Jessie Ware seems to be helpful here. Not a fan of video, though.
B-sides are, well, b-sides. Party in the Blitz is lyrics-based, reminds me of Hell. Through you is cute but needs some time to understand what it really is.

Greatest Hits Radio have got hold of it. Which is really quite strange, as they only play 70s, 80's and 90's, with the occasional 60s record. So they must think very highly of PSB to play it.

While i appreciate that they continue to make art, the whole package is a stale mayonnaise sandwich and i doubt I’ll listen to any of it past today.
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

Got to say, Loneliness is super dull and forgettable...

Through you, on the other hand is fantastic, had that on repeat all day

The chorus is not very creative.

And I really believe most of us think the same.
It's 70s-tinged pop euphoria with a Bobby O bassline.

If it isn't the 'main song' (whatever that is) of the album, does that make it better? It's like getting an aesthetic judgement out of a market analyst, or an AI bot.

After several listens I love it.
James Ford production shines through. The chorus is an ear worm.
It feels a little 'Before' but new. A solid return.

Listened to the songs once, and I definately love Loneliness and Through you. Party in the Blitz is not my cup of tea (Annually Agenda-type stuff, even poor for a B side)

The video for Loneliness will piss a lot of people of :) Love it.

Oh god here we go
Indeed. It's all so tiresome and exhausting isn't it. Constantly expressing his own opinion as if everyone everyone else agrees. You don't speak for me or anyone else, Nickname. You're entitled to your view, but it doesn't represent anyone else's. I love Loneliness and the b sides are great too. That's MY opinion.

I wasn’t too sure about it on first listen, but I have been going back to it all day, and now I find it a bit of a grower.
