My guess is that it may have something to do with the availability of the Limited Edition print.madsnielsen wrote: Thu 01 Feb 2024, 9:23 amI find it a bit strange that they stopped selling the Ultimate bundle then. You can still order all the other bundles at the same price even though the signed art card has been removed from these bundles. Why do you think they removed the option to buy the Ultimate bundle?Meebabi wrote: Thu 01 Feb 2024, 8:47 amIf I recall correctly, it included:
Double CD & LP
Cassette
Loneliness Single
Baseball Cap
Hoodie
T-shirt
Signed art card
Limited Edition Numbered Print
I could be mistaken, though. There were several different bundles at various price points. I believe they all came with a signed art card, which was only available in limited quantities.
New album Nonetheless

Just heard the interview with Zoe Ball ...
The way Chris reacts after Loneliness being played with 'that's a particularly up sort of disco flavoured number from the album' and then there is mention that its one of 3 or so tracks like that. This suggests to me that most of the album will be less dance orientated

you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

Yes, Neil has said that it is less dance oriented than the albums with Stuart Price.

Re: New album Nonetheless
I bought one of the signed Super screenprints from the pop-up shop in Shoreditch in 2016, but that felt like a real coup and involved queuing outside three hours early in the cold etc, plus it was one of 160 (I think) rather than 1,500 or whatever amount this one was printed in. I framed it and it looks absolutely gorgeous.Meebabi wrote: Thu 01 Feb 2024, 8:18 pm Have any of you ever ordered one of the previous limited edition prints? If so, what have you done with it? I ordered one, but am torn on whether or not to cancel it. It was a spur of the moment decision to purchase as it was “limited”, though I have no idea what I would do with it.
This one I’ll probably also frame, although I’m less into putting photographs on the wall usually. But the little artcard is even more thrilling for some reason.

Re: New album Nonetheless
The Hotspot print, on the other hand, just felt a bit rubbish and I put it on eBay. Not sure why the Nonetheless artwork suits a print better than Hotspot (the delicacy and crispness of the image, perhaps?) but it does. Also it’s a decent size which the Hotspot one was not.

What's the definition? I dance to almost all their music. Well, Atom Splitting is obviously not a dance track but otherwise, how can I tell the difference between "dance" and not?rashomon wrote: Fri 02 Feb 2024, 9:50 am Just heard the interview with Zoe Ball ...

I want you to listen this song of Jessie Ware, I think this could be the tone of the arrangements of James Ford for PSB (in a more electronic way but something similar):

OK… I might be alone here, but I find Loneliness a downer - not an “up”rashomon wrote: Fri 02 Feb 2024, 9:50 am … Chris reacts after Loneliness being played with 'that's a particularly up sort of disco flavoured number from the album'
It’s probably at the top of my list of “Melancholy Album Openers”

Re: New album Nonetheless
Of course, we haven't heard the new album yet but we can expect speculate based on real facts.
For example:
1) The album is going to be released on April.
My speculation:
- The main single of the album is not Loneliness: the release of the album is on May, so there is too much time for a second single. So you can think this second single is going to be the main one and probably the best song from the album. At least, the one PSB think that can have more appeal for bigger audiences.
2) Orchestral arrangements are going to be important on the album: we know that and we can see clearly on the first single.
My speculation:
- Longer tracks lengths: I really believe the orchestral arrangments are going to need more space than they usual dance tracks from Neil and Chris. So I expect a long running songs, Loneliness is one of them and they used it for single material.
3) The album is more narrative, the structure of the songs are not going to be the usual ones in all the songs.
My speculation:
- Lyrics are going to be really important on this album and very touching: More than the albums produced by Stuart Price. I think the orchestral arrangments are going to follow the narrative of the song.
4) "Uplifting" sound
My speculation:
- I don't think the new album is going to be dark as many people can think. I don't think is going to be a sad album. I expect a quite warm song.
5) According to James ford the new album has not the usual sound of PSB in some songs.
My speculation:
- Time to listen new sides from PSB: I love the idea of being surprised by them. I'm sure we are going to enjoy a lot with that. I think James has wanted to be important of the sound from the new album, so I think we'll have a diversity of sounds and styles but full of orchesta. I don't think The Last Shadow Puppets or Gorillaz are my cup of tea but something could goo on that way, let's see what happens.
5) Jessie Ware - What's your pleasure?, the big reference.
My speculation:
- Some songs could have big similiraties with this album: Not a bad thing. I think some sounds from this album are going to appear on the new album too. It has a massive 80's and 90's vibe. I'm in love with the song Remember Where You Are, by the way.
6) An album PSB are very proud of.
My speculation:
- PSB don't usually say that from their albums or not easily: We can expect a really good album, deeper than others. PSB love them. Full of good songs but not from a commercial perspective, you know what I mean.

I'm honestly not in the business of kneejerk challenging your quite nebulous posts, but in press releases and advance publicity they (and many, many other artists) say this pretty much every single time. When Nightlife was announced I remember Neil saying something along the lines of "If it wasn't such a cliche, I'd say it's our best album." I'm delighted that they're proud of it though.Nickname wrote: Fri 02 Feb 2024, 5:11 pm 6) An album PSB are very proud of.

Exactly. The official site even has Nonetheless down as being released on April 26, unless Nickname knows something that Neil, Chris and Parlophone don't..
And that's not just my speculation..
