Yes. Some Speculation is 6:35. Through you is 7:02
Although it is the extended version. Presumably a non-extended version will appear at some point, as with The way through the woods. Otherwise you could say Don Juan (Disco mix) was longer.
Woof.

Not a lot of love on the forum for Party in the Blitz but everybody seems to be gushing over Through you,
which I find disturbing

I think i'm in the minority on this one

Party in the Blitz
9/10
This is seriously good, just far too short.

Through You
1/10
This is seriously bad, and far too long.

Look forward to the standard version ... I find myself loving Through you up till around the 4 minute mark and then I'm reaching for the skip function
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

Heyho, a difficult one. I'd say that Don Juan (Disco mix) is a remix of a b-side. Whereas Through You (extended mix) is, so far, the name of the b-side. If a non-extended version appears and it's not connected to Loneliness single, well then it's not a b-side. If it appears in some kind of Loneliness bundle, well then we could argue that the shorter version is the b-side.
The Way Through The Woods (short version) wasn't released as a b-side, was it? Only on the Japanese version of Elysium if I remember correctly.
Remember that Fugitive (Richard X remix) was the original version, it only got the remix name to fit onto Fundamentalism.

Through you:

A track that lays its cards out from the start and can't really go anywhere else. It sounds musically redemptive and cathartic, like the final track of a concept album where everything's been resolved. It's too long and its lyrics aren't worthy of the tune.

Party in the Blitz:

A catchy, witty* and wordy song and Neil's raspy vocals suit it perfectly. It's quite unlike their usual style and I can't help superimposing the tune of Dude (Looks like a lady) over it.

*apart from THAT line which is absurdly crass.

I see what you did there. I wondered whether it was about Elton (“the violent moods”), but surely it’s not that big a falling out?

I would put good money on it being from the musical - Naked. Seeing ‘right through you’ fits thematically with the emperor’s new clothes - this would explain the extended mix: the standard length being what appears in the musical…

Yeah, sounds plausible. The way through the woods may be a similar case in point as it was part of a putative project that set poetry to synth music.
