I mean the 1984 original uk single version, 4:14, that is

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQjmPTCrtAE
Let make some clarification in this chaotic world of the ZYX-West End girls version.
This one form the youtube video you posted, known by fans as "original 7" version" only appeared on the original "Power records" Canadian 7" of West End Girls, and it´s NOT the same as the 7" mix included on the original European releases of the single.
Thank you very much, first of all. But... please, let me understand exactly what you mean

According to https://www.psb-catalogue.com/weg84pic.php there are two different single versions of West End girls published in the UK in 1984:
  • 4:14 West End Girls [original 7" version]
  • 4:10 West End Girls [nouvelle version]
The second one, nouvelle version, being the official single version also in France and Belgium.

So... do you mean that there are two different single versions of West End girls published in the UK in 1984, but the video I posted is about a third version appeared only in Canada?

Or do you mean that www.psb-catalogue.com is wrong because there is only one single version of West End girls published in the UK in 1984, the nouvelle version, that coincides with the French and Belgian singles?

So the 40th anniversary would be perfect to publish West End Girls [original 7" version] on CD or digitally for the very first time!
There is a lot of confusion because the names like "original 7" version" and "nouvelle version" are just names created by fans/collectors but there is no real releases with that names written on them.
Talking about real facts, we have two different 7" mixes of West End girls on the original releases from 1984:

.the 4:14 mix included ONLY on the Canadian 7" (the version from your youtube video) usually refered as "original 7" version".
.the 4:10 mix included on ALL THE OTHER original 7" releases usually refered as "nouvelle version".

Given the Canadian version appears to be specific to that country is it the same as the Montreal 7" version here:

And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

here we have the "european" original 7" version, usually refered as "nouvelle version" (and
now also as "original 7" version" on the psbcq.it site...but there´ll be more confusion because of that, because that was the popularly agreed denomination for the Canadian mix, not the UK/Belgium/france mix):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il7IfdDb_kc

as we can read on the cover of this 7", "Original Hit version" can be even another way to name it...

OK, very clear. Thank you very much!

So you gave me two very good news:

(1) I can bear that the "original 7" version" has never been published on CD or digitally, as it is not the original 7" version, but only a special canadian 7" version

(2) the "nouvelle version" is the real original 7" version, it is avaible on CD and... I already have it

That´s right!
So, where do you have the "nouvelle version" (aka the most popular 1984 7" mix) on CD?? On that "TOP 50 1984" CD mentioned above??

The Top50 1984 CD is released in 2016 and has the best quality of the Nouvelle version I came across yet.

Maybe they don’t want Bobby ‘O to profit from this which I believe he would based on their original court settlement.
