When I was in NYC I went to a couple of record stores in Bleeker Street looking for some used 12" to buy and when I asked for Bobby Orlando they told me they didn't know who was... I showed a cover art I had on my iPhone and they seemed to don't know what I was talking about...

Regarding the original question of this thread… Orlando (reportedly) hates gays and engaged in a lengthy court battle with the Boys. Not exactly ideal interview material for a tribute to PSB!

It is my experience that the record store employees in Manhattan are reluctant to go into their stacks to retrieve records. A store large enough to have space for bins that the customer can browse is preferred. But forget about asking them for anything that isn't on display (unless they know you).

Was he commonly referred to as "O" rather than "Orlando"? It always makes me cringe a little when Neil and Chris call him that, in case it's just them that do so. I mean, how well-known is he to have such an abbreviated surname? Even J Lo has to retain two letters...
