It's really nice they keep it humble and opinionated. I mean. you know some fans might get a little cocky about how many shows they've seen or how many times they've met them. But they seem really down to earth and sincere in their opinions.
I love the stories and I have to say, I love subjective opinions. The first two were more like, ok, I agree, I agree, I agree.
I like the introspective one because they share more personal choices one could agree or not (I mostly disagree) but still see the point and understand where they're coming from.
Also, and this is NOT A MINOR ISSUE, they've got very good enunciation so even when I'm not English native speaker, I understand everything perfectly.
Anyways, well done!!! Will keep listening. Cheers from Argentina.
That’s great to hear lalolalo… really pleased our Yorkshire accents can be understood overseas!!

New Episode: 12RX018 Nonetheless (pt1)

In the first part of a new album double-bill, me and Chris inadvertently go so In Depth talking about Nonetheless, we don’t even have time to talk about Nonetheless.

Nonetheless, there’s loads to say on life since Hotspot and the excitement of the campaign build up, including Pet Shop Boys on both big and small screens, singles, artwork, fonts, photos, titles, labels, haircuts, Johnny Marr, and the sheer joy of seeing a crate of old demo cassettes.

Plus, Chris wows me with his PSB sporting knowledge, while I board the clean air hybrid electric bus to quiz Chris on PSB transport connections.

New Episode: 12RX019 Nonetheless (pt2)

It's time to get the time machine back out and go back all of six weeks...

In the second part of our Nonetheless double-bill (and the final episode of season 3), we go track-by-track, meeting a cast of characters along the way including James Ford, Rudolf Nureyev, Oscar Wilde, Les Petites Bon-Bons, Bowie, Cardi B, Brandon, Kylie, Putin, Ted Lasso, Kraftwerk, Tracey Emin, Spitting Image and Taylor Swift.

There’s also time to discuss first plays, formats and nudity in PSB lyrics, before getting down to the really big questions - what do Pet Shop Boys songs smell like? Where will Graham and Chris have their Pet Shop Boys tattoos? And where will they rank Nonetheless in the Pet Shop Boys canon?”

One error I have to correct: Nonetheless is the 4th album with the first single is the opening track: Very, Release, Yes, Nonetheless.

I have just finished season 2, so at least I am in the right season now !

All episodes in season 2 were a great listen, but 'Relentless', 'Archive' and 'Christmas' were my favs, even if it was a bit strange laughing out loud to the PSB Christmas cracker jokes in June!

I think I am going to cheat a bit and do the 2 Nonetheless episodes from season 3 next, and then I can jump back to the earlier episodes.

Thanks very much for these podcasts gents, they strike a perfect balance between being informative (I am still learning new things myself with every podcast), an insight into your own lives growing up with the boys music (which I think a lot of us can relate to), and sense of humour.
