Does make you see the marked difference in quality between this and the first era PopArt covered. Never mind, happens to the best of them.

Interesting how “Winner” is there floating outside the official options

I think the Venn probably needs to look a bit more like this.
It ended up looking like a bum with poop coming out if it. Happy accidents, as Bob Ross would say.

All I'm seeing is a strawberry-raspberry-mango sorbet triple waffle cone... which I think makes ME a Winner! (Wow you guys are harsh if you think that's the worst in the PSB canon!Gabby wrote: Fri 28 Jun 2024, 3:35 pm I think the Venn probably needs to look a bit more like this.

Wait, Bob Ross was a WWII ace fighter pilot?? Smokin'!

To be honest, I just thought the other Venn diagram with Winner on it wasn't quite right. I'm not a "Winner" hater like some here - it's just kind of OK in my book.
The meme about Bob Ross being a serial killer and his paintings are of the places where he hid the bodies slayed me recently. What a total legend though.

It's funny they chose the Suburbia Issei Miyaki sunglasses pattern to illustrate Art in the sleeve and then put Suburbia under Pop.

As Chris says, it’s arty boll*cks.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning.
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

I have found that a much more palatable way to view "Winner" is to consider it Neil and Chris' own personal little victory lap in the wake of receiving the 2009 Brit Award.
I know the lyric is meant to apply to an XFactor type situation but, knowing that their lyrics can be interpreted on multiple levels, it gives me the vibe of looking back on the success of "West End Girls". They might have been all "don't look triumphant" in 1985 but this is, on one level, a nice little self pat on the back now national treasure status has been confirmed.
But that's my impression.
