The ironing is delicious
Daft question so please be kind, but what differentiates it as an "unofficial" release. Is it just because someone in their basement knocked it off with all those bonus tracks and make it "look" official (ie bootleg), or did Parlophone ACTUALLY manufacture this and intend this for distribution, but it's just not acknowledged as official (and if so why?).

My thoughts drift to the "Muy" picture disc - which despite it's supposed unofficial status still managed to make it into Catalogue, which in my book (pun intended) means the Boys have acknowledged it as being official.

Questions, comments, concerns? :D

Yeah, illegal pressed silver CDs. In the 00s they were riddled with typos too, I don’t know if that's still the case.

I don't use Spotify but I'm curious about how Nonetheless is doing there compared to their last couple of albums. Does anyone know what song has the most listens from the album?

Y'know, I was kind of bummed that the colours of choice were white, grey and clear (or Milky Clear :wall: ) but it all makes perfect sense when you see the packaging, photography and design. All of those colours just look "right" don't they?

Anything more "colourful" like a red or neon colours would have just been wrong.

Finally jewel case version! I hate the cardsleeve! For the singles it's perfect, but for album it's very cheap.

I bought the jewelcase edition but a bit disappointed because of the darker cover. I bit poor quality reprint.

I was listening back to the 'About' documentary, and I noticed that around the 7-minute mark in Part 1, I'm sure I can hear what appears to be the opening bars to 'Feel'. Annoyingly, the audio is pushed back in the mix during the voice-over "listening back to unfinished songs, August 1996".

We all know that Neil said they demoed this song for PopArt back in 2003, but it now appears that the track may go further back in history.

It makes sense.

The verses of "Feel" have a moving rythm and a tone that reminds us the young Neil Tennant, it doesn't sound as old as the rest of the album.

That's why it is probably the best song of the album.

I listened to the section you're mentioning and sorry but no, it doesn't sound like Feel at all. Maybe it's a common chord progression or something about the preset that's making you think that, but I'm pretty confident (asked around too and we agreed) that it's not Feel. Also, Neil is extremely proficient with his songwriting log and rarely (if ever) gets stuff like that wrong. I can think of one time he sorta got it wrong (with Winner), but it was mostly a random mistake because the file was labeled differently in their drive. Plus, remember he only had the chorus for Feel back in 2003 and nothing else, no verses or music.

Because I enjoy bursting your bubble, it doesn't make sense because the song isn't Feel. I was kind of proud you liked the song because it's openly queer and most definitely sounds like a post-00s PSB song, but then you had to ruin your redeeming quality by saying it sounds like "young Neil Tennant" and that the album "sounds old." But hey, what do you know about queerness and anything post-Imperial phase, I guess.
