There was a Loneliness signed lithograph, (like the CD single cover) for 100 pounds (250 is the amount produced) and a new programme for ten pounds.

There was no mug (except for me).

Bit weird they do that but never comment on Gaza. I get that hardline Islam is anti-gay but it seems a real omission when they're so vocal about Ukraine, right down to changing the lyric of their signature tune.

Ukraine would knock pretty much any Islamic country into a hat homophobia-wise. I presume (what other possible explanations are there?) that without even having thought about it in the slightest they just automatically regard Palestinian lives as worthless. Although maybe all the stick they've got for ignoring the genocide in Gaza has made them stop pretending to care about what's going on in Ukraine.

First PSB show in five years and the second best one I’ve seen since my first gig of theirs in 2009, just below RAH 2017. For whatever reason all earlier dates of this tour have always happened when I’ve been unavailable, so I was so glad to grab a £40 slip seat for tonight in such a spectacular venue, just £7 more than the O2 fifteen years ago. So many songs of theirs have never sounded so good, the perfect mixture of the original production with newer touches - one of my highlights being that fantastic album/single fusion mix of It’s Alright! And so many I’d somehow never heard live before that I’d given up hope on hearing and I’d avoided seeing the setlist in advance, Where The Streets Have No Name was such a moment for that reason!

Great to see such a mixture of eras and as a Bilingual fan the Single/Se a Vida e medley was fantastic to hear, although other than Vocal there was a pretty massive jump skipping about twenty years in their career but I can understand that, people in general want to hear the 80s/90s classics and the new songs without much in between unfortunately. I’d have dropped both Nightlife tracks (although they do seem to enjoy playing New York City Boy), added I’m With Stupid to cover that big era gap and maybe add Drunk near the start of the encore to at least have Nightlife represented once, the “What a performance tonight” would have worked well in the context, but in general everything was really well chosen and hearing Being Boring close the show was so euphoric - as horrifying as it is to say now, as a hedonistic teenager I really wasn’t a fan of it and saw it as a bit of a dirge, but then it wasn’t really meant for someone my age back then, tonight was the best I’ve ever heard it and it hits a lot harder now.

Just incredible all round, I’d go again if another £40 one popped up but I definitely couldn’t afford the £200 or whatever the best seats were!

Official Apology: So I was the stupidly drunk middle-aged woman in the orchestra pit tonight. I had 2 wines too many. If you guys (Spanish?) who helped me when I toppled are on here, thank you so much. I am profoundly embarrassed, but it is what it is. The staff were brilliant; they came with a bottle of water, and I think i was kind of ok after that. What is it about these shows that make them so great? I just don't know. It's a mystery. But it sure was a memorable night!
