A FB poster called them the Wet Shop Boys. I had a bloody brilliant time last night in Preston. I've seen Dreamworld loads of times but Preston will be a stand out (along with Leeds of course). Everyone looked like drowned rats, some excited, some less so. Met these great people from Blackpool who were a real laugh. I got there a bit before Sister Sledge, and people started leaving, so I got to the second row by the time PSB came on. Honestly, Preston Dreamworld was one cracking party. With fireworks at the end! At the train station, you could tell who'd come from Moor Park. Funny Girls was a lot of sweaty fun, but a different crowd. Oh god, and I did buy the rock. Why did I do that? What am I going to do with that?

Also big thanks to our Scottish pal on Friday who brought bags full of groceries for folks in the queue, who was dubbed the Tuck Shop Boy

A guy I used to work with who was on my FB page called them the Wet Shop Boys in a derogatory way (as in "wet behind the ears"). Needless to say he is no longer a FB friend.petshopgrrl wrote: Mon 09 Sep 2024, 11:16 pmI like rock... Not sure if anyone has posted elsewhere but there is an interview with Chris and Neil in the afternoon before the show.

"I would never eat Marmite / I would hate..."

That video of It’s a sin from Funny Girls made me smile and I also found it so moving - a reminder of how lucky we are! It must have been so magical being there! I really hope they bring the full show to the US and other parts of the world next year - would love to see them here in NYC in a smaller venue….

I bought a box of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and some Marmite crisps as a compromise. I'm so suggestible.petshopgrrl wrote: Wed 11 Sep 2024, 6:30 amNeil cannily steering the conversation around to how Radio 2 are playing Feel in the hotel restaurant!
