[Nah nah, It Doesn't Often trends quite highly around Christmas time.
I believe it was in PSB's top 5 most streamed songs for several weeks. I even heard it myself while out shopping.
It's a mainstream hit, hence the inclusion on Smash.

It's definitely gained some traction over the years during the holiday season. I always advocate for it when people are looking for something a bit different to the usual Christmas fayre.

Well, glad to hear it! Anything to break up the Wham/Wizzard/Slade monopoly/monotony!

October and people are already talking about the Festival of Consumerism. Soon that f'in word will be very third word on the TV and radio. The same few songs will be in the charts such as they are courtesy of the streaming brain dead. The whole lot can pinkle off, shittiest con job of the year. Anything 'Now' can f off too, lowest common denominator pap.

I'll join you on the streaming sh!t though. It's basically ruined the charts for the last two weeks of the year at least - every Christmas single ever gets dogpiled into the Top 40... (*shudders*)

Totally with you on the Xmas charts - too bad the kids these days will never understand the excitement, build up and joy of hearing Always On My Mind (or their own favourite band's track) reaching No.1 for Christmas. A bygone era for sure.

Well seeing as I believe Die Hard (& even Die Hard 2) are Crimbo movies I'm definitely in the minority of Always on my mind being up there!

A cherished memory of hearing Always On My Mind in the background during Christmas dinner will instantly transport me back to my younger days. And my poor parents having to listen to it too.....
