How many times should we view it on YouTube to see it creep into Top 100?

I had a go at making a version with the extra verse using the new instrumentals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQI_VobfZAU

Not that I have the means or ability, but surely AI could be fed the original track and the demo and add that verse in to the original version? Maybe someone with good mixing skills though could do a better ( and more thorough) job too...got to be possible.
i'm sure someone will try it. but i'm not into the song or the demo version.
so i'm not that motivated.

it's a lot easier to extend it. which i've already done, and also make an instrumental.

I made a mix that combines the strings into the demo. :)

When listening to All the young dudes, are you also tempted to go "Man you should have seen us on the way to Venus walking on the milky way..."
Or is it just me?

Yup, as both songs start off with more or less the same descending chord progression before Dudes goes a bit more complex. PSB have also used the descending chord progression in plenty of their own songs, including A New Bohemia and I Get Along. In fact, I think Neil said that I Get Along sounded like Mott The Hoople at the time...

P.S. Yes, wrong thread... :D

I've just been reading about descending chord progressions as have been making Spotify playlists and sometimes it's fun to combine songs with similar structures and/or in the same key. Interesting!

Nice! Off the top of my head, these PSB songs have a major key descending chord structure - usually in the chorus:

A new bohemia
One in a million
Shameless
The chorus of To speak is a sin (whereas the verse uses a minor key descending chromatic chord progression)
I wouldn't normally do...
Hey, headmaster
I get along
London
The "waiting..." part of Hit and miss
The survivors
Winner (more or less)
The sound of the atom splitting (only joking)

Go west is also very similar, using Pachelbel's Canon. I think they used that for Call me old fashioned, too. A red letter day is also similar...

Playlist complete! :D

Excellent - thanks!

I find sometimes putting in John Cage's 4.33 at the end of a playlist is a good way of avoiding hearing lots of extra music if autoplay is enabled.
I could use the splitting headache tune instead!
