Re: New Single 'Feel'
One month since release date, and still no delivery of Feel...
I've asked my local delivery service and it seems the parcel is lost. As I didn't choose the super expensive tracked shipping method of the official Warner PSB store, I cannot get any refund. So the money I spent was all for nothing and I don't know if if I will be able to have this CD single in my collection one day (that would the first PSB single I don't own a copy of).
As I've had regular issues with custom fees I had to pay despite the IOSS guarantee I should have not, I've decided I would not buy from the official PSB store anymore from now on. I cannot rely on the delivery service from La Poste in France anymore.
La Fnac, Discogs and Amazon shall be my friends. I'm hoping exclusive items such as CD singles will still find their way to these dealers, and I mean their domestic division...

Same think happened to me but I got in contact with my postal services and since I had a tracking-id from Estonian postal services (god know why they were handling the order) they could see that my package was somewhere in an unknown location. They wrote a letter which I forwarded to the Warner store and they refunded me.misterme wrote: Fri 25 Oct 2024, 10:19 am One month since release date, and still no delivery of Feel...

Now, I don't know where to buy the CDs because I don't want to use the OS again.

Re: New Single 'Feel'
A few observations. Just before “Feel” dropped digitally PSB had 6.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Shortly after release this number creeped up to 7 million. As of today they’re at 7.2 million. I think releasing these singles packages has a positive impact in terms of awareness and listenership. In terms of the odd scarcity of the physical product, it seems as if Parlophone underestimated demand. Perhaps this is why we’re not only getting a fifth single, but a two CD one at that, and a second deluxe edition of the parent album as well?

Single is now sold out at the PSB store. I still didn't get it (the carrier lost it, I got my money back), but I re-ordered it at the PSB store together with the 2 New London boy singles now. Let's hope it's getting a better trip than the last one...

Greetings,
The Australian Warner Store has been very reliable to date, and whilst they may be milking the prices a tad, it's worth it for the reduced stress.
Retro.
All the best with it. I know that ordering internationally from the PSB Store was always fraught with delays and the possibility of orders on now "sold out" items being cancelled. I never got the 7" single of Leaving for this reason. Some copies of Annually and my Relentless bundle came literally months after the advertised delivery timeframe.leesmapman wrote: Mon 04 Nov 2024, 9:49 am Single is now sold out at the PSB store. Everybody will dance somehow passed me by when this single first got released, but what a tune!
One of their best B-sides ever, IMHO.
Very reminiscent of Jessie Ware's What's Your Pleasure? even though I don't think Everybody.. was produced by Ford? Maybe the Boys doing an hommage to the album that actually made them choose him as a producer in the first place.

Have a look at my taste in music:

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

Nah they've said it dates back to the sessions for Super, so it predates WYP by a few years! I can see what you mean though.NikacP0kac wrote: Sat 16 Nov 2024, 5:44 pm Everybody will dance somehow passed me by when this single first got released, but what a tune!

Re: New Single 'Feel'
I'd be really interested to know how Schlager-Hitparade (Deutsches Demo) and the album version was received in Germany. I have a great deal of affection for Schlager having spent many long childhood holidays in Germany in the 1980s. Whilst England is their first pop home I feel like Germany is their second. I wonder how Pet Shop Boys fans there feel about them?
