The PSB-Fancy-Bobby O-connection
The PSB-Fancy-Bobby O-connection
I've tried to solve this riddle for some years now but I've quite not succeeded yet.
The PSB collaboration with Bobby O is fairly straightforward by now but there's a mix of the original version of One more chance which credits "Tess" as the remixer. Tess is also credited for a ZYX-records megamix.
Tess used to be one of the nomes de guerre for the artist known as Fancy, famous for such classic hits as Bolero, Chinese eyes and of course Slice me nice.
Slice me nice (1984) shares riff with both Passion (1982) and Helpess (1984) by Bobby O (through The Flirts).
I haven't quite figured out the relationship between Fancy and Bobby O. Anybody knows something more?

The mix of One more chance I have is off the “Fancy & Friends” compilation.

Fancy (under the pseudonym Ringo) also covered Divine's "Shoot Your Shot" which was written by Bobby O.
I guess they just knew each other and were probably friends.

Fancy covered Always On My Mind and Go West in the stlye of PSB. That was 2010, I think.
A blues would be in B flat, pain defining wisdom,
but the soul is in the high hat, programmed in the system.

Fancy was a big Bobby O fan and always tried to copy from Bobby O. He even signed Linda Jo Rizzo that was in The Flirts.

Oh I nearly posted about this very thing, telys, after just hearing "Slice Me Nice"!
The weird thing is on the wikipedia page, Fancy makes it sound like he wrote the music himself
"Todd heard my demo tape of 'Slice Me Nice'. The tape had the whole melody (intro, verses, bridge and chorus), the bass line, and the instrumental riff as well."
Passion was released in 1982 - a few years earlier. But, who knows, maybe Fancy was involved with the original composition with Bobby O?

On Youtube, someone alleges in the comments section that In the Night is a reworking of Fancy's "big Hi-NRG club hit Slice Me Nice".

You know what, I can actually hear that.
Not enough to actually credit anyone, but there is something.
I like to imagine the person posting these things is Fancy himself. He has a cool website https://fancyartist.eu
