Re: DREAMWORLD Greatest Hits Tour 2022, 2023, 2024 & now 2025
I've seen Dreamworld seven times in the past three years and personally I'm over it now. I'm aware that some people in certain parts of the world haven't been able to attend one, but I really think it's time for something different and fresh now. Yes, financially it's a no brainer for Neil and Chris. Pile the hits high and sell 'em to the masses, but I always thought they were a bit different from all the others (it's why I love them). This is the band that had the guts to tour Performance after all, but if I hear Neil's Domino Dancing story once more, I may not be responsible for my actions...

I went to Unity in Toronto, so potted version only and just once, but even still I have no desire to see Dreamworld now.y3potential wrote: Thu 14 Aug 2025, 8:37 am I've seen Dreamworld seven times in the past three years and personally I'm over it now. The only time I've seen the same PSB tour more than once was Electric (Toronto and then Windsor) but the venues were chalk and cheese, so the experience second time in Windsor was terrible. Nothing to do with the Boys performance, just a really gross casino venue which sort of ruined the whole vibe for us.
After that I've never really felt the need to see any performance more than once.

I could be wrong, but at the end, they seemed to stay on the stage to take in the applause, longer than usual. If this was the last performance of this year, I’d be panicking

I saw the boys twice in 1980. Separately. I was buying dog food. They hadn’t met yet. Neither was even humming anything.
They’ve improved their live performances a lot since then.

Were you in a pet shop in Ealing? Because (*whispers*) it wasn't them. It was the OG Pet Shop Boys.Kevinsane wrote: Fri 15 Aug 2025, 6:08 pm I saw the boys twice in 1980. Separately. I was buying dog food. They hadn’t met yet. Neither was even humming anything.

I thought that in Belfast, over a year ago!! Happy to be proved wrong. Vernon said in Preston it was the last time we'd see the show for a long time and here we are, less than a year later. Maybe they're starting to enjoy the applause!PopKid78 wrote: Fri 15 Aug 2025, 6:07 pm I could be wrong, but at the end, they seemed to stay on the stage to take in the applause, longer than usual. Words from the review:
https://www.londonbornandbred.co.uk/pos ... itage-liveThe crowd? Ecstatic. Arms in the air, voices united, people who might never meet again suddenly joined in the same shimmering chord.

That review also mentions Ana Matronic as the female vocalist of SS on stage, but she did not perform with them, correct? Or did I miss anything. Since Ana did not take part in the SS reunion.DJ Pat wrote: Tue 26 Aug 2025, 7:19 pmWords from the review:

They probably though Bridget Barkan was Ana.
Bridget and Amber Martin joined in for this tour and there was a new drummer instead of Paddy Boom.

I know that's a blog and not an actual news outlet, but a quick Google could have filled in some of the gaps.
