Re: Crying Game Vinyl?
Of course it's "Let the music play" by Carroll Thompson, produced by PSB for the "The crying game" soundtrack.
Is it just another remastered re-release or something bigger and better?

Although the track is from The Crying Game soundtrack, the design aesthetic and typography suggest something a bit newer. I’m erring on the side of a ‘Disco’ release. I can easily imagine that soundwave design/typography as a Disco 5 cover. Either way though… exciting!

Maybe a double-CD / double vinyl: one disc with old remixes/productions and one containing the newer remixes from the last months and years.

Remastered Crying Game soundtrack and/or Movie ? Another memory lane release? Thou Disco 5 is indeed overdue.
Re: Crying Game Vinyl?
The movie got a nice blu-ray/dvd re-release a few years ago on the BFI label so doubt it's that.
I've never really considered the Crying Game soundtrack as a whole as being an actual PSB project but looking at my cd of it, it was released on Spaghetti so presumably would have had more background PSB input.
Would prefer it to be Disco 5 though as opposed to a new vinyl pressing of the soundtrack. Is that really high on our PSB wish lists?

Crying Game, the song, was a top-10 UK hit for PSB. It's a cover by PSB where Boy George only came in to the studio, did a quick take, left and then got his name on the record.greenmile wrote: Mon 22 Sep 2025, 5:03 pm The movie got a nice blu-ray/dvd re-release a few years ago on the BFI label so doubt it's that.

Nah, it didn't even make the Top 20 in the UK. A quick Google suggests it did better in the US, which is slightly unusual for PSB. That said, it was a good song and I'm pretty sure I remember a completely PSB-less Top Of The Pops performance.telys wrote: Mon 22 Sep 2025, 6:56 pm Crying Game, the song, was a top-10 UK hit for PSB. I doubt it’s a rerelease of the whole soundtrack, because Cicero would be too excited not to have blurted it out on social media already!
A career spanning remix/remake project for Disco5 is my expectation as well. Doubt we’ll get the 10min mix of this track as part of that though… but I hope we do.

But it's not a PSB hit. It's credited to Boy George alone.telys wrote: Mon 22 Sep 2025, 6:56 pmCrying Game, the song, was a top-10 UK hit for PSB. Re: Crying Game Vinyl?
The color palette reminds me of the already delayed "Dreamworld" BR release! Would there be any correlation?!zenorac wrote: Mon 22 Sep 2025, 3:52 pm Although the track is from The Crying Game soundtrack, the design aesthetic and typography suggest something a bit newer.
