I have a warped little theory. Well, maybe it's not so much a "theory" as a fervent wish. Maybe the Boys are doing their best to get people sick and tired of hearing their hits in concert. Then, in another year or two, when they decide to go out on the road with a new show that consists of nothing but deep-dive album cuts, b-sides, and other relative obscurities, people will breathe a massive collective sigh of relief: "Thank GOD they're not playing any of their hits!"
Spooky in light of the announcement on 10th November!!!

Ticketmaster now selling return shuttle tickets from Blackpool and Preston which is handy for those not staying in Lytham itself....
Unfortunately Pet Shop Boys will not be able to perform at today’s Rockin’ On Sonic Festival in Tokyo as Neil Tennant is suffering from an acute gastrointestinal virus. Pet Shop Boys apologise for this unavoidable cancellation but look forward to their concerts at the Tokyo Garden Theatre in Tokyo on Tuesday and the World Memorial Hall in Kobe on Friday.
Oh that is terrible! They went to Japan 2 days early to prepare and everything.
Hopefully Tuesday's concert goes smoothly.
I'm glad I didn't fly out to Japan for the concert. I was considering it. Could you imagine.
I did fly out for the concert!! Ah well. I still had a good time in Japan with family and friends and exploring Tokyo for the first time. So I'm glad they brought me here anyway. I still have a ticket for their next concert. Hope all goes well.
I remember my fellow Indian Pethead, Vince flew from India for Super Tour Bangkok and it got cancelled, luckily I saw them play in Singapore a few days later, but was so nervous since I had flown from India as well.
