I'll put money on I Want A Dog being performed. Most obvious choice on Intro, and featured in the Andrew Haigh film

Which to me says the set list will include some songs previously performed live? It's the word 'many' that stands out to me.

Don't think that's surprising considering all the album tracks and B-sides they've performed live in the past - otherwise they'd be ruling out classics like King's Cross, We All Feel Better in the Dark, The Man Who Has Everything, Tonight Is Forever, The Way It Used To Be...

I agree. They initially used the words 'fan favourites' which would include all of the songs you mentioned. I wonder if we'll ever find out how they compiled the set list. Talk about being spoilt for choice.

Aaargh! Stubhub beckons sadly.

I'm tempted to buy one from StubHub, but how on earth are they being sold right now given the actual tickets haven't been delivered yet? (or have people received a ticket, more than just a confirmation?)

The one ticket I have through AXS hasn't been delivered yet, and there is a note saying it should arrive before "3 days prior to the event" (which is very late, and I hope worse-case-scenario, since I have to book flights based on this ticket existing!)

It's standard for tickets to be held off till the last minute for ''high profile shows'' to cut down on re-selling.

So how is it possible to see 10-14 tickets at a time available on StubHub?

I bought from StubHub for Kylie in Vegas last year.

You buy now and then StubHub guarantee that the seller will transfer your tickets when they become available (often just a few days before).

I was very dubious, not least because I booked flights to Vegas and hotels, but all worked fine, the tickets arrived as planned and the show was brilliant. Those tickets even said that transfers were no allowed and that ID would be required on entry but in practice I’ve found this almost never happens at gigs. In the case of Kylie they just scanned the QR code for entry (you can imagine how on when was!)

Now, of course there is a risk that your specific seller doesn’t follow through although there’s no real incentive for them not to do that since they won’t get paid. Even then you would get a refund from StubHub which is not the same as seeing the show I know but I had no other choice for Kylie.

Final risk now with new UK legislation banning resales at a higher than original price at some point is that StubHub go out of business before April. Again, my view would be that is probably a low risk and one I would take if no other option.

I recognise that there is a moral question around buying from someone who has blatantly taken advantage of the system to the detriment of other fans. I made my own moral choice and had an incredible night in Vegas.

I managed to get tickets for the Friday, however I've seen one or two people online boasting about going to all 5 nights. To me that is not only selfish, but crass, insensitive and lacks any class whatsoever, knowing that you're denying other fans by getting tickets for EVERY night...

Anyone who has done that is an utter wanker.

Who knows?, if they wanted to play b-sides In The Night could work as an opening track although this song was already played live. Songs like A Man Could Get Arrested or You Know Were You Get Wrong could take part of the song. All of them from the early days.

Anyway, I think they could go for songs were not taken to be part on an album but they deserve it and never have been played before. For example:

- A New Life
- I Get Excited
- Bet She is not your Girlfriend
- Too Many People
- The Truck Driver and his Mate
- Hit and Miss
- I didn't get where I am Today
- Between Two Islands
- Confidential
- Delusions of Grandeur
- The View from your Balcony
- Screaming
- Lies
- Positive Role Model
- A Certain 'Je ne sais quoi'
- Hell
- An Open Mind
- Thought You
- The Dark End of the Street

Not a bad set list - I would be happy to see this all live. However, unless I misunderstood, a number of these tracks have been played live (unlike what you suggest). IGE was on electric tour, TTDAHM was on Somewhere, Positive role model certainly was at the Glastonbury 2000 (not sure is performed at any of the later Nightlife tours). Still, as said, would love a set list like this.

I know it’s been referenced before, but nowhere have Neil or Chris said that no tracks will have been played live before so that really shouldn’t be a criteria.

I also expect their definition of “fan favourite” to turn out to be very flexible along the lines of “master quality” (ie they will play what they want to play rather than stick to any rigid set of rules).
