That looks nice!zukunft wrote: Sat 03 Jan 2026, 12:30 pm Disco 5 Japan promo (incl. bonustrack) with promo-only megajacket. Already framed by myself.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning.
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

Ooh. The new mix of Ich Bin Musik is good! Punchier, more “radio friendly” and we have Mr Tennant on BV higher up in the mix.

I have a sealed copy (Japanese bonus track) if someone is interested in a private sale.
Send a private message or email.
On topic, the cover art is growing on me.
I feel like it does match the whole DJ sound-equipment vibe.

Listening for the first time as arrived late afternoon. A bit of a curate's egg, as Disco 4. The low points so far- Tina Turner, Sam Taylor-Johnson and Carroll Thompson. High points Soft Cell, Claptone, and surprisingly Noel Gallagher.
And at the end/ Your funny Uncle staring / At all your friends / With military bearing

Agree. I just got my JP copy and it is surprisingly good. t Should have just been included anyway.tottenhammattspurs wrote: Sun 04 Jan 2026, 11:34 pm Ooh. The new mix of Ich Bin Musik is good! Punchier, more “radio friendly” and we have Mr Tennant on BV higher up in the mix.

Agree. And every detail in the jp version looks better, even the little bag for the cd. I got it with the mega jacket (Quite by chance, I didn't ask for it, it was a surprise) and it's a little bit disappointing. I'm glad I didn't go for any of those in the past, and will never do it in the future.Gabby wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 3:44 amAgree. I've got to say I'm really enjoying Disco 5. I listen to it once or twice a week. And it also made me listen to the other ones as well more regularly. I hadn't played Disco 4 in years!

It is a nice package all round comparatively to the standard edition. think the only disappointing thing for me about the Japanese version is Farrow not updating the cover. Since it visually depicts each song, it would have been a nice acknowledgement on the cover to have that included there too, but understand why they probably didn't.lalolalo wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 1:28 pmAgree. No Megajacket for me, but interesting that you found it disappointing. I'd be interested to know why.
Speaking of never doing something again, I recently had a very bad experience with a liquid filled vinyl bought for my daughter, and strongly suggest nobody gets sucked into buying that - even if it's the most amazing looking, most limited and valuable PSB thing ever. DO NOT, under any circumstances buy liquid filled vinyl!

I sincerely hope it wasn't any of those LPs a few acts have released filled with band members' blood - or worse still, a copy of the "gold" edition of Australian band Private Function's '370HSSV 0773H' album, which was filled with band members' urine!Gabby wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 3:52 pm Speaking of never doing something again, I recently had a very bad experience with a liquid filled vinyl bought for my daughter, and strongly suggest nobody gets sucked into buying that - even if it's the most amazing looking, most limited and valuable PSB thing ever. It's just a mid size (smaller than a 12") reproduction of the sleeve. The cardboard is not high quality and it seems to me it's not a higher quality printing, it's just an enlarged version so it's a little blurry.Gabby wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 3:52 pm

And also you need to put it up on the wall, framed and everything. I'd rather put the actual 12" there, though personally I don't like the idea of records on the walls.
Again, if you happen to get it that's awesome, but I wouldn't add to much money to get one instead of the regular release.
I've just received the full set of Forever young reeditions and they look good without the megajacket.
Re: Disco 5 (release date: 21st November 2025)
lol - no it was a Limited Eric Carr (from KISS) RSD album last year. My daughter is super into KISS and all things Eric Carr, so thought it might be a fun gift. We did have our doubts initially because being in Canada it can get a bit cold in the winter so wondered if this would ship to us without the contents freezing. Sadly our fears played out, and the whole thing was ruptured on arrival and the liquid was seeping out everywhere. Never again - I don't care who the band/artist is - totally not a good idea.TwizzleUK wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 5:15 pmI sincerely hope it wasn't any of those LPs a few acts have released filled with band members' blood - or worse still, a copy of the "gold" edition of Australian band Private Function's '370HSSV 0773H' album, which was filled with band members' urine!Gabby wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 3:52 pm Speaking of never doing something again, I recently had a very bad experience with a liquid filled vinyl bought for my daughter, and strongly suggest nobody gets sucked into buying that - even if it's the most amazing looking, most limited and valuable PSB thing ever. Thanks! Good to know. I have so many framing "projects" I could undertake and never do, so having more of that wouldn't be any use to me. Like the Nonetheless signed prints, the Unity Tour poster, and a shadow box project I want to do for my daughter of The Most Incredible Thing. I'll probably be dead before I even start thinking of getting around to any of it.lalolalo wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 5:40 pmIt's just a mid size (smaller than a 12") reproduction of the sleeve. Well, if you know what “kiss” means in Swedish, TwizzleUK’s example was quite correct!Gabby wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 7:37 pmlol - no it was a Limited Eric Carr (from KISS) RSD album last year. Pretty sure I don't want to know. Sweden is lovely though, even though I was there only briefly one time.Towa wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 8:26 pmWell, if you know what “kiss” means in Swedish, TwizzleUK’s example was quite correct!Gabby wrote: Thu 29 Jan 2026, 7:37 pmlol - no it was a Limited Eric Carr (from KISS) RSD album last year.
