Which PSB single has the most number of songs on their releases (7'', 12'', CD-maxi etc)?
I guess the 7'' + any other remix or version can only be counted as 2 maximum.
I've thought of I Get Along where we get:

Sorry. I Get Along has even more songs:
Friendly Fire and E-mail on the DVD-single, bringing the total up to nine songs.
And if we break Between Two Islands into two parts, separating the last minute or so into a cover of "I Want You", I Get Along has 10 songs on its release.

They hadn't announced it yet, no. This song was also included (ahead of its release on Yes) on a free CD given away with one of the UK's best selling Sunday newspapers. I imagine they were still thinking All Over the World would be the second single at this point, but who knows what Parlophone was up to.

I guess the first single release with many songs was Where The Streets/My Eyes Off You. Partially because the title track is a merger of two songs:

I may have remembered this wrong in some way, but I seem to remember that there was a general assumption it would be All Over the World from fans, but then the boys appeared on a show with Graham Norton (not the the usual Friday night one but something else on a Saturday).

There was some gentle innuendo-based joshing going on, which somehow managed to tee up the question from GN "so what's the next single?" To which Neil replied "did you see me coming?" which at the time felt like a cheap laugh, but then it sort of committed them to that choice for the second single.

However I don't know whether we ever got to the bottom of whether this was maybe GN knowing they had decided on Did you see me coming? and pouncing on the opportunity to get a laugh and the announcement in at the same time, or whether it was Neil being unable to resist making the joke on the spur of the moment and thus committing them to it.

But now I write this out, I can't help but think that perhaps I must have dreamed this, so someone please correct me....

In working away so can’t check the relevant Literally, but I’m sure PSB never thought of Did You See Me Coming as being a single but Parliphone wanted it. They made a comment that had this been the case, or planned, it wouldnt have been included on the Daily Mail (or was it Sunday Mai) CD

Did You See Me Coming is the type of middle-aged, sultry pop that very much suited them at the time. Love it and the filmclip.

Can't say it was a mistake single, even if there were other choices. All Over The World still got its single mix on Christmas.

It wasn't a mistake single in and of itself, but it was the most slapdash single release to that point. There was nothing remotely exclusive or special about it when it had been a bonus track on the previous single and featured on a free Sunday newspaper CD. So, it felt very cheap and disposable at the time. I liked the Possibly More mix, mind, and that 8-bit remix.

The expectation in early 2009 - especially after the Brits performance - was that All Over The World would be the second single. Why include it in the singles medley if not for exposure? But this was late-era Parlophone...

All Over The World was relegated to, effectively, b-side status by Christmas. It may be utterly bombastic and calculatedly commercial, and it may threaten to self-combust at any moment in a huge puff of ridiculousness, but the ludicrous crescendo where we all join Neil, Chris, Hannibal, and the elephants crossing the Alps cracks me up every time.

Absolutely wasted by Parlophone.
