What are so-called independent bookshops? (in relation to buying ‘One Hundred Lyrics and a Poem”

#1 Post by Grover »

Just signed 600 copies of the paperback version of my book, “100 Lyrics and a Poem”, which will be published by Faber & Faber on March 26. 200 copies are for people who ordered them from our online store, the rest will be available through independent bookshops in the UK. Neil x

I am not from the UK and I wonder what these independent bookshops are? Which one of those are located in London, since it would be great to discover Neil’s signed book in one of these stores whilst I am in London this week!

You could try Googling “London independent bookstores”. The first three on this list seem very PSB-turf-adjacent, especially the Brick Lane one.

These ones were listed as locations where you might find signed copies of Volume in last week’s Pet text:
Rough Trade, John Sandoe Books, Goldsboro Books and Selfridges in London, Resident Music in Brighton, and a number of independent booksellers across the UK

Yes! Just before you posted this, I found that PSB Pettext too and realized this was the info I needed.

Thanks @petshopgrrl for pointing me in the right direction
