Well that was special!

Having really enjoyed seeing them on Monday night … I found yesterday to be even more incredible.

After overcoming a somewhat panicky situation related to my ticket at the entrance I managed to secure a decent spot at the right of the stage (Chris’s side). I was probably about 10 people back without too many tall heads in the way. I had a good view all evening and even more so in the last hour as some people drifted away.

Neil and Chris were on excellent form and you can see they are really enjoying these gigs. Neil was more relaxed and confident than on Monday and Chris especially was more animated than I’ve ever seen!

What a set list! I had a hunch we’d see a guest at some point and so glad it was Johnny F-ing Marr doing the honours tonight. All three tracks with him were absolutely outstanding…couldn’t have wished for more (well I could but that’s me being greedy). So many highlights but Always, 2/0, King of Rome and Later tonight really stood out. I loved hearing ICHH as well - they didn’t play that on Monday so it was another bonus for me.

If this turns out to be the last gig I see I will be happy to end on this high … it was a very moving experience and so great to share it with real fans.

A massive thank you to Neil and Chris for these 40 years of incredible music
