That's not too much if they give us additional projects (Ex: MFTF)

I think four years between albums is too much, I'm not particulary interested on these additional projects if they wait so long

Neil suggested there is nothing that makes us think we'll see "Naked" on a near future. The only one think they are planning for the future is a revised version of A Man from the Future wich I don't know is something you are really wanting.

But the plans for the new album set the release date in 2028, four years later than their previous album Nonetheless.

It's slightly longer than I'd like, so I'd prefer it if they never produced any music ever again.

I'm more than happy for them to take their time, so long as they do fill the time with something. Man From the Future, a B-sides compilation, and seriously I'd love to see that digital singles program already!

For me, I feel like I may have had rather high expectations for their ongoing output after the phenomenal promotion of Nonetheless. I've tried to subsequently relax those expectations, but it's hard. Lost, Smash, Nonetheless, five singles, Disco 5 and Dreamworld. That's quite an extraordinary run for them these days.
I'm here. You're there.

How about option three - I'm OK with it, and no conditions. They'll release whatever they want when they're good and ready.

This poll comes across as a little entitled.

Are you suggesting I try to force them with a poll or something? Of course. they'll do that and I don't think anyone can blame them for that.

But this poll goes for the fans and the option they prefer. Your option three is polite but it makes people choose it because of that but I want to know about fans feelings.

Why wouldn't ANY fan be thrilled about ANY new album released ANY time❓

Just wanted to write the same  Depeche had a 6 year gap between the last two and it was very very worth it, better something proper than half-cooked.
Have a look at my taste in music:

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

Sooner than that would be fine.
Nonetheless has essentially ran it's course.
We got the deluxe edition, we got the singles with b-sides, we got the live versions.
Music videos, merch, etc. It was a 2024 thing, finally finishing and producing songs from the 2020-2023 Covid 19 pandemic.

I'm fine with them starting promotion for the next album in 2027, or even later this year. Whenever they're ready.
One of (if not, the) greatest things about PSB are how active they are. They give the fans something to look forward to and have a pretty frequent release schedule. It's inevitable that they'll be announcing the next big thing whether it's a side project, reissues project, or a new studio album.
I really don't know what to expect, and I feel having little expectations may be the healthiest way to approach this.
I'm sure Obscure caught most of us off-guard. Neil & Chris are such creative individuals, they could do anything.
I remember reading they said they'd do soundtracks, even a soundtrack for a videogame if asked. (Not news, just an example)
We know they're writing and making new music, but in what form it surfaces is unknown.

Supposedly Annually 2026 will have some news, "Plus exclusive photographs, your letters answered, news and more." so I personally am keeping my speculations at bay until we get to read that tidbit.

Just start dropping tracks boys. One a month then an album annually with extras 😉

They did Please, Actually, Introspective and Behaviour in almost 5 years. I know they had some demos from Bobby "O" period but they also did a huge promotion over these years. So it doesn't have to be half-cocked.

Well with 3rd b-sides compilation on the horizon let's speculate :)

Yes was released on Mar 2009
Format - Feb 2012
Elysium - Sep 2012

I'd try out such expectations
Apr 2024 - Nonetheless
Spring 2027 - B-sides compilation
Late 2027-Spring 2028 - New album

With maybe release of Turing project in between (late 2026)
