Beautiful people, Burning the Heather and Feel didn't have remixes, did they?
Well the 7'' version of I Get Along, is it a mix or an edit? There is also the video mix with part of Email attached to it and the live version (could be regarded as a remix?)
The same goes for Burning The Heather and Feel.
With Feel we got the demo and the single mix/edit,
Beautiful People, there was the demo and the instrumental, but also some Vinnie Vero mixes on a promo or something like that.

Beautiful People and Heather weren’t official “singles”. They’re not on smash. At least Feel got a demo version.

They were official singles. Them being or not being on Smash has nothing to do with it.

They're singles. I have them. Smash also skips ...Seriously? and Absolutely fabulous, so it's not comprehensive anyway.

Nah. It's a good album with some great songs. I was listening to it on the way into work this morning, for the sake of this thread, and the programmed drums actually bring a lot to the tone of the album. Live drums wouldn't have been better or worse, just different. I don't think that' the vibe they were going for, they wanted the tension of the real instruments and the electronics, and it works really well for what they were trying to achieve.

It just so happens that this is perhaps the only time I've liked a remix by others, in this case the two by David Jackson, more than the original song

For some reason I can't explain Home and dry video is the one I rewatch much more often than the others. It seems absurd (and the random excerpts of Boys' performance make it even more so) but I think it reflects the overall mood of the song well - and the song is great!

Don't care much about I get along. Nice song for sure but it's never been in my rotation list. At least the single gave us some gorgeous b-sides.

Natalia Vodianova. That’s why you rewatch it. 🙂🙂🙂

I think the story and sentiment of Birthday Boy is pure PSB, and the lyrics do all the heavy lifting. The music itself is, for me, a real turn off.

It's got a (to us at least) obvious slightly strange religious charge. There’s something almost nativity-like about it: a boy marked out, watched, expected to become something. I mean, the song doesn’t say “this is about Christ” in a blunt way, but it lets that symbolism hover. Very Neil.

The while thing sums up the sadness of being seen but not necessarily understood.

A very good (and hugely underrated in my view) PSB track.
