It was not Comrades but the beginning of "Night Falls" if I'm not mistaken (to be confirmed by other members of the audience)TheGardner wrote: Sun 12 Jul 2026, 7:15 pm Setlist Day One

Ressurectionist was great!! And I loved to hear Miserablism and Bet she's not your girlfriend, since I missed those during my night in Camden.

Re: Obscure SPOILER thread - set lists, reviews etc
What a fun night !
So delighted to hear again Positive Role Model and Miserablism, they are working great live.
This is not a surprise that there were no guests like in London, but it was nice to have the musicians from the Dreamworld Tour.
Two nice surprises with two new songs, Neil chatted a lot between song, explaining the background for some.
They definitely seem to have more fun than on the greatest hits tour.
And I loved the very organic feeling of the live, the false start, the chat, the interaction with the first row, lots of anecdotes, and lots of energy.
Can't wait for round 2 tomorrow.

While I wasn’t at this particular Obscure show, Neil has said in the past that “Bet she’s not your girlfriend” was originally inspired by a tabloid article headline about George Michael. The story was about George Michael, before he was officially “out”, being seen on the town with a young woman.TheGardner wrote: Mon 13 Jul 2026, 12:53 am can anyone repeat (or remember) what Neil was saying exactly before Girlfriend about the song and ....George Michael?

Neil said, the beginning is about their friend Krysia and at the end it's about George Michael.TheGardner wrote: Mon 13 Jul 2026, 12:53 am can anyone repeat (or remember) what Neil was saying exactly before Girlfriend about the song and ....George Michael?
In all the years I heard rumors that there was something between Neil and Ķrysia. In the old old days she was running the "fanclub" ( before Literally) when I remember right.
Wo warst du heute Steffen?
And yes, it was Nightfalls. I made a photo of the setlist.

Possibly the most misspelled song in the entire PSB canon. One S, double R, people! Oh no, wait, there’s still Wiedersehen.
I’m so happy this is finally on the set list after it was left out at Camden!
ZeusPSB is doing a splendid job of posting clips up on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/musaic.petshopboys, including lots of Neil banter. I do love some cheeky Neil bants!
For your own good, call me tonight.

Sounds like it went really well. I'll have to track down the clips to see the interaction and anecdotes.
A reminder if anyone has footage, please share it onto Youtube with 'Pet Shop Boys' in the title and description.
If you don't have a Youtube account it's fairly easy to create one.
Here's hoping night 2 goes well too.

Krysia was/became Eric Watson’s wife.Zoops wrote: Mon 13 Jul 2026, 1:50 amNeil said, the beginning is about their friend Krysia and at the end it's about George Michael.TheGardner wrote: Mon 13 Jul 2026, 12:53 am can anyone repeat (or remember) what Neil was saying exactly before Girlfriend about the song and ....George Michael?

Re: Obscure SPOILER thread - set lists, reviews etc
When he said they were never asked to do a James Bond song he immediately said: "no, we're not going to do that one"
After Party in the Blitz he said something like "this is when we wanted to sound like the Rolling Stones" on which Chris shook his head.
Someone from the audience asked if he was a Berliner. He reluctantly replied "part time, 8 weeks per year"
