There's a new bit where Alan strips off at Bletchley and performs Go West, hence the physical release is in legal purgatory

Weird they didn't announce the physical release alongside the broadcast.
So far it feels as if "getting it heard" by as wide an audience as possible, and drawing attention to Turin again, is the greater aim. Selling a few physical artefacts a bonus for fans.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the release is announced on the day of broadcast... Or announced sooner and made available after broadcast.

If there is a 2 x CD coming, I hope CD 2 includes the original Proms version. Would be worth including if the new version has been revised significantly.

Thank you. Wonderful to see the pets on video.
"Well, it smells like the 1940s."
I like their fashion, and body language. Neil is expressive when he speaks.
I really do like their fashion though. Neil with the black textured top, this time a hooded one.
Chris with the zip up jacket, almost giving a popped collar look with the zip all the way up.
I do enjoy the consistency of these outfits, it's on-brand. Neil's glasses are so cool too, the transition lenses.
Chris with the checkered 'HARD' cap, Neil with intriguing boots, they have quite a heel.
The shot near the end where they're holding umbrellas, I still find that visually appealing for some reason.

Here are some screengrabs:

Guessing they'll be using this typewriter-style font for the release? Fits the era...

I think it's quite discourteous the way Chris walks around indoors with his cap on and in interviews. I was brought up to remove the hat indoors, especially when entering a church

He's been wearing the cap since 1981, so I don't see him removing it anytime soon tbh.

I wonder whether the revised version will still have the voice of Gordon Brown.https://youtu.be/oaaqVI123K8?is=KHEXoJzMGqq0deCl

I was sat beside the author Andrew Hodges at the Proms show. Didn't realise who it was until PSB brought him up on stage at the end.

A few thoughts:

-This seems to be primarily about honoring Alan Turing and everyone involved appears to be approaching this release as such. While I’m sure no one wishes to lose money on the project, commercial concerns seem to be secondary.

-As this was originally a BBC performance, the BBC probably had a part in financing the original composition so they may have first broadcast rights and even own part of the work, which possibly plays into it being broadcast before the physical/streaming release.
