Fugitive is totally ace - 12/10
Sodom: trentmoller - decent vocal mix, the mix should have been from 1.09 to 6.45 - 6/10
Psychological - the original itself was quite stark, this even so. semi decent - 6/10
flamboyant - I love all the bleeps - 7/10
I'm with stupid - begins well and then god knows what happens - 6/10
in private - oh dear - 4/10
minimal - whatever - 4/10
sodom: dettigner - Zzzzz - 3/10

Well I donno, these are too arty for me and the one obviously dancey 'in private' was so dated. I'd prefer a headache inducing superchumbo to half the above attempts. How is that only madonna gets it mostly right each time

"The Resurrectionist" should have been in on it,
instead of that dreadful version of "In Private"

Fugitive: just pure bliss - 10/10
Sodom trentemoller: very good remix - 9/10
Psychological: better than the album version - 8/10
Flamboyant: nice work, decent remix - 7/10
I'm With Stupid: the most boring remix of the song, pity - 5/10
In Private: nice when you're in the mood - 6/10
Minimal: nice remix, pity they didn't include the bridge - 7/10
Gomorrah dettinger: interesting, experimental - 7/10

Considering how dodgy PSB remixes tend to be I think it's excellent. Shockingly listenable for the group that once thought it was a good idea to release Disco 2. The Flamboyant mix is marred by those clumsy samples and of course In private is wretched but otherwise it's fantastic. Worth it for Fugitive and the Lobe mix alone but the Trentmoller and Alter Ego are also superb and the rest better than the Boys' typical batting average.

But why does it seem like most remixers do the worst work of their career when it comes to PSB?

Whilst its true I would much have preferred new tracks in the vein as Fugitive, I think the extra disc is worth while.

IN Private,awful Eltons voice doesn't fit in there.
Fundamentalism is not my taste.Fugitive is the only track what sounds great but I'm unhappy with the lyrics

Yes, it is a waste. I think the problem is that they started with the brilliant Fugitive, raising everyone's expectation about Fundamentalism, but then the bonus disc went downhill from there since the rest of the tracks are unable to match the high from Fugitive. Kind of disappointed too since the mixes were supposed to be 'dance tracks' but I don't know how you'll be able to get people onto the dancefloor with those.

I would have prefer they offer the mixes as downloads like those I'm with stupid mixes and have Fugitive as a one-off single.

yeah I agree. fugitive is so good I almost feel embaressed for it having to live on the same CD as the rest of the stuff.

I think it's a great effort to have attracted this amount of remixers, all interpreting a different song, and making it "all" available straightaway. Seriously, how many bands do you know that have made the effort to prepare a bonus cd of mixes with their most recent album?
Now I come to think of it is rather funny (well, not really) the Pets treat us with a whole disc of mixes accompanying their album, but have kept us from a cd of mixes to accompany their single...

Anyway, unlike Fundamental (I just can't get used to Numb), there isn't one track on Fundamentalism I feel like skipping.
Btw, I'm still waiting for someone to post a list with all the samples, and when they occur, used in the Flamboyant remix. I haven't given either album enough listens yet, but so far this must be my favorite mix. It's such a completely different and lovely take on this otherwise upbeat, up-tempo single

No. A PSB output's never (been) a waste (apart from
D2 maybe ). I like it. 'Fugitive' is ace, I also like that
Trendmøller/Trentmöller/Trentmoeller one and finally
we've got a 'Flamboyant' rmx. And I like it ...

I LOVE Funamentalism CD! I'm playing a lot of 'Fugitive', 'Psychological',' Flamboyant' and 'Minimal' from this one.
