I never thought there could be any sort of connection between Pet Shop Boys and Midnight Oil. Except for the fact that I'm a big fan of them both...

While we're at it:
Everyone has
their own number
in the system that
we operate under
Living in Sweden, this is very old hat and absolutely nothing to get upset about!
Ever since 1947 every person living in Sweden has a unique
personnummer (identification code); it consists of 10 digits, of which the first six reveal your birth date. Scary, isn't it?
"Integral" is a great track, but I can't really get too deep into its lyrical issue...

We have ID-cards and I think it is a good system.

I must admit I don't quite understand what all the fuss is about in the UK about ID cards. For me they are in no way a breach of privacy or a loss of civil liberties. I always wondered for instance how pub owners in the UK could verify if their clients were of legal age to order alcohol.... Or how driving examiners could verify if the people taking the test were really who they claimed to be. Having ID cards seems to me like a perfectly reasonable solution to all these problems. Hearing the opponents you'd think that ID cards are the sure mark of a fascist regime.

Exactly. That's why we use ID cards in civilised countries (see above posts).
