It Couldn't happen Here is almighty. Probably because I heard it when I was starting to have interest in pop music.
Later Tonight
To speak is a Sin
Hit and Miss
Kings Cross
I could go on and on. PSB are great at ballads. I don't like Jealousy so much, maybe heard too often. Nervously is great...

Rent and Love Comes Quickly are both ussailably great, but ballads? I don't think so.
My fave PSB ballads are King's Cross, Do I Have To? and I Made My Excuses And Left.

Your funny uncle.
Rent is a little rhythmic to be a real ballad, IMO

It Couldn't Happen Here, King's Cross, Do I Have To and Hit and Miss...Each a gem. Later Tonight would be so, only if it was a little bit longer.
Should listen to them tonight once more....

Nervously.
Honourable mention to Jealousy, Your Funny Uncle, To face the truth, To speak is a sin and Drunk though I'm sure some wouldn't accept all those as ballads.

I hate the word 'ballad'
Is Being Boring a ballad? I'll go for that.

''Girls don't cry'' is a beautiful ballad if you consider it as ballad.

I'm not really sure what qualifies a song as a "ballad". Is it just a slow song? Is it a slow song which is primarily about romantic love?

I guess that normally people refer to slow songs in general as ballads. For an ultraliteral description, check the Wikipedia quote on the first page.
