Oh, right, no, I don't even get that far. It says something about protection and incompatibility and... I get as far as a blank screen then the error message, BUT I can play the whole thing fine in Media Player which is just weird.

I've found Ideal Copy to be incredibly reliable. Decent pricing and okay shipping times in the US. Their customer service is excellent.

All the copies were warped due to a pressing fault.

I played the video once
Ripped the audio
And I have a nice little CD that plays everything and I can crank up - including downloads.
The originals I just file away...

If this is protection, it stinks. :(

My disc wouldn't read in my external usb drive, but would in in the internal.
So I ripped the data from it and use my backup. The video is a .wmv on my harddisk.
I expect one day shall get PopArt 2.

Also my burning rights expired or something so that were fun too.

I'm going to do a post on what to use later because it's a bloody nuisance and I think I have a good idea on what works and doesn't from last two singles messaround.

I still would rather have a dvd than a CD for the video though - I can rip the DVD and you have to do it for everything else now anyway. Protections encourages piracy more - I would only rip to make a compilation if the defaults played fine. And not everyone can rip so easily.

Minimal (UK maxi-single) (CD3)
01. - Data Track (1:54) - My version of U-MYX hack, lyrics and my u-myx files.
02. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (Radio edit) (3:40)
03. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (M-Factor mix) (8:47)
04. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (M-Factor dub) (7:42)
05. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (Tocadisco's Sunday at Space mix) (8:05)
06. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (Telex Heaven remix) (4:34)
07. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (Telex Hell remix) (6:18)
08. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (Lobe remix) (4:49)
09. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (Tiga's M-I-N-I-M-A-L remix) (5:40)
10. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (Tiga's M-I-N-I-M-A-L dub) (5:37)
11. Pet Shop Boys - Minimal (Superchumbos light and shade dub) (8:26)
12. Pet Shop Boys - Blue on blue (3:15)
13. Pet Shop Boys - In private (7-inch mix) (4:15)
14. Pet Shop Boys - No time for tears (7-inch mix) (3:37)

This is the best compromise as if I overburn the disc (ie add Chris Lowe's Summer mix.umx) as a .wav, then my audio cd skips on occasions. So this is in original format with the normal minimal.umx. Has taken all day to get right - I'm fussy! But looks good now though. I have the CD backed up as a CloneCD image now has no protection - comes back with CDText, U-MYX and everything. ;)
