What a great week this is turning out to be. Four nights of this to come, another TV performance as well - and all on top of a deluge of new material. It's been a marvelously active and exposed album campaign.
Jimmy Somerville really disappeared from the public eye, didn't he? He was an iconic figure of my teenage years, but he faded out dramatically.

Indeed, I caught him at a Radio 2 event with live orchestra which was terrific.
Sadly the bass player on Walk on the Wild side passed away fairly recently, the brilliant Herbie Flowers...

I just missed her legendary appearance on a Thames barge which kicked off one of the first London Pride marches I attended.

Nice extended version of that track. I remember being an 8 year old seeing Divine on TV performing the song. You can see that performance on youtube, it was on TopPop, Dutch TV. I was fascinated by this person.
Oh, Menergy coming now! What a great track!

There are some more recently released Patrick Cowley recordings with tracks he wrote for porn movies! Of course ardent fans may remember with the Pet's blessing "Euroboy" once soundtracked an eponymous UK soft porn video.
